Wtf? Fake Profiles.

I've just run into my very first copy-cat profile.
Some d-bag on Tumblr or wherever stole one of my photos and is using it on a dating website.

I've only reported it about a million times but its REALLY got me freaked out.

What kind of person does that?
Its ridiculous, people are freaking insane.

The guy is some 45 year old guy in MO. I found his a4a profile.


I feel like my privacy has totally been invaded. This is not cool at all.

How would you deal ?

As the copyright holder you have all the rights to sue or send a cease and desist order to people who upload your works somewhere else or use it in another unintended, maybe harmful way. Except if it's about the fascist parody/satire/free speech laws of the U.S.A. which favour the culprit.

Anyway, I'd report it a billion times and try to convince myself that it's really a compliment, no matter how twisted.

And then I'd create a fake picless profile, contact him and see if I can arrange a meet or cam session. Preferably a meet where he has to go out of his way.

you could make your own profile on that site with your own pics. in your profile make a reference, by profile name to the guy who stole your pics and clearly call him out as a fake and a fraud.

I have got around this thing you speak of by watermarking my pics with my username, in such a way which makes it impossible to remove - I usually have some of the text crossing my forehead or chin so it can't be cropped.

As for the legal issues, sure you could send a cease and desist. But the effort and cost which that requires... as gaypornjunkie said, once it's on the net you've kinda lost control of it, I'm afraid.

I happen to take so many pictures that I'm able to prove a faker is indeed one by showing different angles.

I should watermark my nude pics though - i've seen some people taking a liking to stealing them(luckily they did it on sites where I could verify it was me so their profiles could be deleted).

Well it was on *******...and that dude Greg or whatever? the owner ? He tells me how cute I am like everyday so I asked him to delete it for me and he did. He was like "I I.P banned him and blahblahblah" and im just sitting there like "...I could use a new car also.."
