Uuuuhh??!!! Why??!!! Either the storyline is going to be horrible or there is not going to be one at all; on the other hand, it's not as if Mortal Kombat's storylines have been making sense as of late anyway.

As an old time MK fan I find the idea ridiculous. Why would they do such a thing?
Do they think it is actually a good idea?

For all we know, it might be an actual good game, don't go jumping to conclusions.

As for plot, I'm guessing Shang Tsung or one of the other major bad guys open a portal to an alternate dimension to try to harvest souls/gather power, etc., so they can destroy the Warriors of Good once and for all. They go through with their allies, and encounter the DC universe, with the Warriors of Good following to try to stop them. I assume that the DC heroes and possibly villains push them back into the Mortal Kombat universe and join forces with the good guys, with some of the villains joining with the bad guys, and eventually one side defeating the other.

Or, it could be one of the DC villains open a portal, thinking it will lead them to ultimate power, and the Mortal Kombat warriors come battling through, thinking the same, basically the same as the other plot.

Or i could be completely wrong, and they pull something outta their ass.

Batman shall reign supreme!

*twiddles fingers evily and muahahaha's*

Here's a new trailer for the game and it looks like its going to be bad](*,):

I dont know Id still play it...lol

Doesnt look like its going to be any better OR worse then More Recent MK games...just looks like they added DC superheroes...Its not a dumb idea or a bad idea to me...just another Idea to mix it up for long time MK fans.

I agree Ultimate(or Trilogy) were great but have yet to be topped. After that my excitement for MK titles has dwindled a bit . Deadly Alliance was great but could have been better and the previous two since then really didn't keep my attention long.

I know they are currently working on a new fighting engine for MK8. I guess this DC mash up is supposed to hold MK fans attention until then.

Here are some screencaps I just ran into:

Wouldn't a Marvel Vs. DCU have been a better more, I don't know, logical idea?
I imagine that would sell far more than a watered down Mortal Kombat game. Especially considering Armageddon's sales numbers were so poor.

Plus they could time a Marvel vs. DCU game closer to a huge movie release and garner even more sales dollars.

Silly fools. That was Pathetic.

This is more of a Mortal Kombat game with a visit from the DCU, not the other way around, so it would be even less logical to have a Mortal Kombat game with no MK character in it at all. I don't think a DCU vs Marvel game would sell as well... Their have been a slew of DCU and Marvel games come out recently and none of them were very big sellers. Combining the two universes probably wouldnt help. This way the DCU characters are being introduced in a game that already has a huge fanbase. And the other way around.

Well.... It makes little sense, and from the recent trailer it looks like it could be crap... but you never know, it might surprise us.

Or it could be just another shitty game that we learn to like because it's the only one available that has any good characteristics.

It may turn out to be decent but I am still on the fence. Ed Boon just did a walk through at E3 and it looks more polished than I expected. According to him Fatalities will be intact for MK players and DC characters will have brutalities. Also the dial a combo system has been scrapped(finally) so players can have more freedom with the combos.

Here is a video of him talking about it and showing a video of Scorpion and Flash fighting in hell. It also contains a video of Sub Zero and Superman fighting in whats left of the Daily Planet.

I must say, some of the new moves that I saw in the video for a few of the characters are not fresh. Older moves that previous characters had were given to the characters who came back or the DC characters.

It does look great, however, and it may not be as bad as when I first heard about it.

Lol, the Jokers fatality was hilarious.

Honestly, it's starting to look like it's gonna be good.
