Ok, we've got the three most powerful X-Women pretty much settled down to Jean Grey, Storm, Polaris and "X-Treme" Rogue, but who are the 3 most powerful male X-Men ever?

It will probably be more interesting if we toss out Charles Xavier, Magneto and Vulcan.

Stated potentials and dead team members are fair game. (exception, mutants that are currently living with permanent depowerment may not be used. Example: Cannot claim Gambit may potentially possess New Son's abilities because Sinister has knocked them out permanently, but you can still use Gambit at his current power levels)

1. Iceman is an omega mutant
2. Havok controls cosmic radiation
3. Thunderbird III/ Juggernaut

edit: oh yeah and sorry if there is a thread already, but I searched for x-men and nothing came up, which I know is a lie because not even the X-Women or Comics threads appeared.

I love Xmen but i believe i am out of my depth here, i dont even know who polaris is, no clue what Xtreme Rogue is or vulcan or Cyke ahah comic books where before my time

there's already a thread for this here somewhere...on like page 50 or something by now. i think pretty much everyone had Iceman in atleast their top 3. dunno how good his psionic defenses would be, but physically the man's indestructable.
speaking of Iceman, i gotta say again that i think Ryan Reynold's would fit better playing Iceman rather than Deadpool.

haven't read the new New Mutants yet, so i dunno if they've watered him down, but i'd think Legion would definitely be a major bad ass.

Oooh....this is much harder.

First off, when we say POWERFUL are we talking POWERS, powers oe all game- in other words powers, not certain mutations, like bone claws or wings, or prehensile tails- powers, like ice creation, pyrokinesis, telepathy etc. get where I'm coming from? :)

Well, I would definitely say Iceman is in there for sure (whether he's #1 is open for discussion). Cyke maybe? And I'm at a loss for a third :S

I remember Franklin Richards being pretty powerful with a slew of powers and he's TECHNICALLY an X-Men CHARACTER...Ooh, ooh!!!!!! Whatabout X-Man!!!! He kicks ass! Even though he's from an alternate universe that no longer exists- therefore he doesn't anymore! LOL!

you're right it's way too confusing trying to keep track of everyone who does/ does not exist anymore. So we'll open it up to any male X-Man ever in any universe that has ever existed.

I tried searching for it earlier but nothing came up, would it be more exciting if we included DC male characters on the Justice League? Or has that been done too?

personally never really got into DC, but i know alot of others here would probably dig the topic.

back to X-Men, i'm gonna throw Gambit in. dunno the details of the situation, but apparently there's alot more to his kinetic powers than he posseses now. something about some kind of limits being placed on them to keep him from potentially destroying the earth.

umm

Apoclypse
Mr Sinister
Magneto

I only say those three cause they have had huge X-Overs not to mention they are notorious X-Villians with ridiculious amounts of power.

Too bad the original thread cannot be found. Oh well, here are my picks:

1. X-Man
2. Apocalypse
3. Iceman

Ice-Man? He has omega potential, he's not omega still. (that's what I've understood anyway!)

1) Apocalypse
2) X-Man
3) Mr Sinister (though he's not a mutant)

You're right. I think Emma Frost used his body to his full potential at one point though.

Yea, and in an alternate universe issue he reached is full potential and was like King of the North Pole or something. He was powerful. Also storm should be on this list, c'mon, the woman can control space weather too, and stars!

there's a thread on X-Women, and Storm is pretty much everyone's top 3.

i think Cyclops is in the top 3, for sure. don't know about the other 2. Magneto probably.
