X-Men's top 3 most powerful women

So Jean is Dead in the Comics...She died in the cartoon years ago and she DIED in the Movie...Poor Jean..She has no control over the evil entity..

Storm is still alive on & off paper which makes her the most Powerful Female mutant...Case closed...

You do know the Phoenix is immortal, right? ](*,)

It's kind of a personal preference issue when someone is a fan of a celebrity or character, where the person refuses to acknowledge faults in the person. Therefore, logic may not work. I'll reiterate; it's been established that Jean Grey/Phoenix is not only one of the most powerful beings in the X-Men Universe, but the Marvel Universe.

^What I truly hated about Halle Berry in the movies was that she was really pretentious trying to be the center of attention when the movie is about a team (and well sadly about Wolverine but that's another story) not about Storm. She was pretty much ignored in the first 2 movies but then they gave her what she wanted in X3, more screen time and attention at the expense of Rogue, Cyclops and the rest. Yes I know Anna Paquin and James Marsden had other things going on at the time but still.

I felt Wolverine was the center of attention in all 3 flicks..It's always about him. Halle was just "there" in my opinion and not doing much of anything....Even with the Oscar to her credit Halle's acting is "mediocre"...

Yup, it does come across as fanaticism. Storm against Phoenix...as I said, I LOVE Storm, she's a kickass character and has always been one of my top favorites but to compare her level of power with Phoenix's...it's laughable.

What would X-3 have been like if Bryan Singer directed cause i heard they almost completely changed the script after he left ( The only thing they kept was the plot of bringing Jean Grey back as phoenix)

I didn't really have a problem with Storm getting more screen time. It wasn't just "the third Wolverine movie". If she hadn't bitched & tossed around her big name A-listyness, I'd probably have disliked X3 more than I do as is. Being titled X-Men should garner some degree of team focus, at least we were given something other than "Wolverine 3"

It would've been great if Cyclops/Marsden was given a bigger role, especially with anything involving Phoenix but oh well I guess. Pisses me off that he & Singer worked on Super Returns (insert puke smiley here) over X3...

I dont get why everyone is saying Halle bitched about getting more screen time. She wanted the character to be given more because Storm fans complained that the character was underutilized. She actually cared about the character and trying to please fans. The problem is no X-Men movie will be satisfying because there are too many characters and someone is gonna be ignored.

Do anyone think that Storm was X-men's most powerful female before Jean Grey become Phoenix? Because at the time, she only have somewhat a limited telepath due to the block that Prof. X put on her. At least that what i read.

Errr not really, I don't think she cared about the fans that much. She was upset because super star Halle Berry was hired to be in these movies but instead of giving her important lines she got to say things like "hey kids jump on the jet" every once in a while and that's why she didn't like it. It was reported that she said she wanted to be more important because she could use the time to make other movies where she would actually grow as an actor (which is somewhat understandable) instead of an action movie where she was in the background most of the time.

lol, welcome to JUB!! We are talking about the Women of X-men. Since Jean is dead for now, does it made storm the most powerful since now she is back with X-men, not with the black panter

I still think Sage and/or Kitty could kick the crap out of Storm...

Storm may be powerful... but Kitty was trained in hand-to-hand by Wolverine... She could take out Storm no problem. plus can't hurt what you can't touch....

And Sage/Tessa is a living computer who could take Storm out because she knows her limits and could easily counter anything.

What is it with gay people and their undying love for all things Storm?

Storm. As we all know controls and manipulates the weather BUT she also can control other natural phenomena such as solar winds (yet with much greater strain on her body) which shows why she is an Omega mutant. She also has proven to be less susceptible to telepathy and mind control and even holds magical capabilities. She even kicked Cyclops' ass when they battled over leadership of the X-Men in the comics. She at the time was powerless but he still used his optic blasts and STILL got his ass handed to him proving how physically powerful she is as a combatant. She even kicked Callisto's ass in the comics and Animated Series.

I personally think that Cyclops LET her win... after all it was at a time right after losing Jean and he was now a father with Madelyne. With all that was going on in his life he wanted to be away from the X-Men for a while and I think he gave up just to get out. She even admitted back in X-Men #3 that her Gold Team would be hard pressed to take on the Blue team and that was with her and a non-Phoenix Jean Grey and Iceman and Archangel... 3 originals.

Hell back in Uncanny 175 he took on the entire team and beat them ... with the help of the danger room.... but still he took out Storm, Rogue, Nightcrawler, Wolverine, Kitty, and Colossus ...by himself.

BTW ...welcome to JUB... Its awesome to see another X-Men fan here on these boards.

Psylocke barely made it out alive with Sabretooth.
Sorry to interject, but I gotta take a moment to defend my beloved Bets.

While, yes, it's true that Betsy essentially evaded Sabretooth during their first encounter (which is, nevertheless, an impressive feat!), she later demonstrated that she's more than capable of pwning his kitty cat tuchus:

British Betsy FTW. And she would have done it again had Looogan not rendered Sabretooth impervious to psychic attack.
