Xbox 360 or PS3?

Even though I play the 360 more than the PS3, I'd say the PS3.

Free online play and less likely to break on you than the 360 and its history of RROD.

The 360's game library is slightly better, but most of the decent games are cross console.

I have both and I have to give the edge to PS3.

PS3 > 360: blu-ray player, no extra cost to play games online, has internet browser, game line-up gradually becoming superior. Uncharted 2 (this game is enough reason to get the console). Includes integrated wireless network adapter.

360 > PS3: Games usually have a slight graphical edge. Online network is faster than PS3's (charge vs. free). Overall (good) game selection is larger, but PS3 is quickly catching up.

I really dislike how Microsoft nickles and dimes you for everything. With PS3, you really do get more for you money out of the box.

Had both, got rid of the PS3...stuck with 360 Elite. Neither is bad, more preference for Microsoft.

Multi-platform games sometimes look better on 360 usually because MP games are developed on 360 first and then ported to PS3 (like Bayonetta). But I find that PS3 exclusives generally tend to look better than 360 exclusives, or that's my opinion at least.

If you like a lot of first-person shooters, then get the 360. PS3 has more games with broader appeal (Little Big Planet, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, etc.), so if you're gonna share with your little sister, I'd say go w/ the PS3. And if you're just a casual gamer, at least you can use it as a blu-ray player.

Also I'm more into sports games, action/adventure, racing

I guess online play is good but most players online seem to be hardcore and that's def not me

Then I'd go for the PS3 less you want to end up like this...

but yeah some people get too into it sometimes, like just go do something else if you're that frustrated..

i like the Xbox360 because of the online gaming. that and I like getting achievement points. sounds dumb and it probably is, but to me, I like it..

I'm going with Quixote on this one. Also included on that long list of benefits is storage since the PS3 has the ability to copy over files from a usb thumb-drive.

I've turned my own PS3 into a disc-less blu ray player by ripping my high def movies onto the drive.

Hmm... seems like PS3 is the consensus pick
Just seemed like 360 had the better games, but to be honest, I havent been following the gaming industry since Dreamcast lol

I'd suggest that this should be your basis for deciding what system you want. Pick the one that has the most games that interest you.

its free, and has less hacks.

but im thinking of going over to 360 because everybody else i know has one :L
