Xbox 360 > PS3

Yes, but even cracked the 360 continues to function. When the PS3 does get cracked, it don't work no more!

Not to mention, you can get decorative cases for the 360 (including a clear one with lights) for cool effects. Can the PeePee 3 do that?

By direct download, I mean direct download, you know, downloaded directly to the console and played on your TV. Not to mention you can buy games and add-ons directly from your 360 console and save them on the hard drive. And as far as hard drives go, Microsoft has the 20/60/120 gig drives available. I've heard rumors of 230gig generics floating around but don't really need it so I haven't checked it out. Not to mention there are accessories that allow you to save directly to your PC hard drive, I haven't heard of such an option for PS.

I thought Netflix was streaming only for both 360 and PS3. I didn't know you can save Netflix movies on your hard drive. I asked my brother who has a 360, and he said it was streaming only, but I guess he hasn't looked into all of the features. As for me, I'm sort of an HD purist, so I'm good Blu-ray and DVD playback. One thing that bothers me about Netflix on 360 is that you have to be an XBL Live member to take advantage of it.

Both consoles have the capability to buy and save games and add-ons to the hard drive.

Yes, Microsoft has replaceable hard drives for the 360 for sale, but you have to buy Microsoft's proprietary hard drives (unless of course you mod your 360), and they're just so expensive! I was gonna buy my brother a 120 GB hdd for X-mas, but it was something like $150. Needless to say, I didn't buy it for him. Like 80KGold mentioned earlier, you can replace the stock Sony hard drive with any brand 2.5" SATA internal hard drive. I'm thinking of getting a 500 GB to replace my 80 GB soon, and for less than $100.

And I have been able to save and back up data from my PS3 to my external hard drive. I just had to hook it up via USB, no accessories required.

The 360 is crackable while the PS3 isn't.

The PS3 has Rockstar's mysterious IP, AGENT(in development, I hope), as an exclusive.

Off topic - Mass Effect 2 leaked YAH!!

I doubt Agent will be released this year. It was announced at the last E3 and we still haven't seen a single screen!

And by crackable, do you mean modded?

I know AGENT is going to be a while. Rockstar likes to take their time. And yes I did mean modded.

But with netflix you don't have to buy the movie. And on the 360 you don't just get alerts from facebook, you can actually log in to your account and get all functions, same with twitter. And there's more on the way.

Like I said the internet browser allows you to fully access facebook.

And as others have said PS3 has Netflix - though I don't know what it is anyway... surely you still pay for the movie?

No you don't pay for each individual movie. Anyone with a paid Netflix subscription is entitled to unlimited online movie access, in addition to the DVD rentals that you get my mail.

The Netflix DVD selection is outstanding. Their online selection, not so much. I have Netflix but never watch movies online because frankly their online selection is crap.

Oh right, thanks :D

I've just found out we don't have it in the UK but we have a similar DVD service called Lovefilm. Netflix is on the xbox and ps3 though... not that I would use it anyway - I just buy all my movies.
