  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Xian groups in NJ launch anti-gay hate ads on the radio

The energy and money being thown at this (non)-issue is staggering.
How insecure must people be to have such fear of same-sex marriage/partnerships/civil union (call it what you want)? Why can they not see that it is about the right for equal treatment for gay couples (inheritence, next of kin, salary benefits etc), not just a way to have a big camp party. Surely the 'defenders' of marriage should be flattered that gay people want to emulate their institution, not threatened by it.

The real scary thing is that this sort of illogical bigotry is only a few steps away from pink triangles and gas chambers.

One more reason why i don't listen to radio anymore(excessive BS) but...thank GOD  for my Sirius/Xm radio! ..|

I'm not heterophobic. I'm being rhetorically contrarian.

But it is certainly a logical and supportable contention.
Time to wash those assumptions out of our ears.
Think about it!
We C A N be and in many cases already are more moral and more family-valuable people.

I'm not making any assumptions. I'm just not seeing how anyone can be any more moral than anyone else based solely on their sexual preference; I'm definitely not seeing it based on comparing the posters on this forum to those of more co-ed forums. The same applies to picking their mates; in some cases it can happen, but it's still more likely to be a random attraction.

And if you are going to argue that picking your mates makes you a better person, you may want to consider that a large number of straight weddings are arranged, both by the family and by one of the couple.

Good points.

As to sexual preference we must in either case recall that sexuality must be critiqued both with regard to vertical as well as to horizontal integration. 'Know what I mean?

As to the second allusion, what does that say about "Society"?

:D
