They give you a free email account and it's awesomeness cause you can access it on the iPhone and it ties in with messenger which is handy.

But because it's free they intentionally send you annoying spam about dating sites, penis enlargement, "OMGZ YOU'VE INHERITED MY LIFE SAVINGS" And shit like that.

Darn yahoo.

If I wasn't so stubborn I'd go with Gmail or AOL. But not Comcast because Comcast sucks.

But damn it's annoying. I wish I could get rid of christian singles and all that other stupid shit. But no matter how many times you spam it or take your name off the list you just get more. I don't think they do that if you buy premium mail. Sneaky bastards.

No, it isn't because it is free. Spam comes whether you pay or not.

It is illegal to send spam, so if Yahoo was doing it, they would be sued for it. The best thing to do is identify ever piece of email that is spam as spam, and they will go to your spam folder instead.

Oh, and that "you inherited my life inheritance" email is a phishing scam, soooooo yeaaaah

It is not Yahoo that is sending you the spam. It is coming from all over the world. My email address is published on the web site where I work and I was getting 500 to 600 spams a day until I started using Thunderbird. It has a wonderful trainable spam filter that trashes almost all of my spam. It may be that Yahoo has a spam filter that you can turn on to help with the stuff.

I don't care for Yahoo mail myself. It's not the spam I get in it, it's their lousy interface. The old interface is fairly quick to load, but clunky and right out of 1999, their new interface is slow to load, clunky, and filled with ads everywhere. I basically just have it for YIM and I give it to people I don't want to have my Gmail address. lol.

I have been pretty happy with My Yahoo e-mail account as well. I have had it for four years now and the spam filter seems to work pretty well.

Well I guess you do have a point. I get so much fucking spam on comcast but it's all sent to a folder. I don't get much on Yahoo as much as I do on Comcast but it's their for everyone to see.

You know whenever you post your email on a website its best to break it up like this :

youremail[at]domain[dot]com

people can read it, but automated systems wont be able to use it to send you spam. just a thought.

It means that you use Comcast for internet and maybe cable but don't use comcast email.
