i'm not a frequent poster here, more of a lurker than anything....but anyways, just wanted to brag some....
about a year and a half ago i was fired from the okc farmers helppoint... worst and best day of my life. my ltr started going south, life felt like it was drowning. spent 3 months searching for a job that paid about what i was making. . . no luck, so i went back to my high school job as a vet tech. hurt ego.... but around may, got a job at a local hospital. didn't make any more money, but had actual benefits.
there was a job i had applied for while working at farmers, didn't get it. it was a job with the state that i really wanted.
it's now august and they had THREE opening for the position i wanted! i had given up hope once september had come and was near ending... decided to just buckle down and focus on my MBA.
well i got a call from the state and just got offered a job as a disease intervention specialist for the oklahoma county~ i'm totally excited!
i finally get to do what i want to do. i get to work with people infected with HIV and attempt to help them, while getting paid (more than i have ever made before).
my ltr is on the upswing. still working on it, time will tell. but i'm in it for the long haul...
i guess the main reason i'm posting this is because of so many negative things in the world and to brag. if you keep trying and working to a goal, and are stubborn, good things happen
