Still, a beautiful and fun pool is a matter of individual opinion and everybody who goes to the trouble and expense of putting one in should build what pleases them. He asked what we think, so I answered his question. I think that pool is pretentious and, at least from what I can see through those pictures, has no discernable style.
You say this pool makes a statement. What statement does it make?
Yeah and that is what is so nice about it. Something with some class and style for a change. Not just a rectangular hole in the ground - this pool is making a statement.

And since my comment was critical, I may be one of the people you're referring to. Truth is, I had a pool and the works built a few years ago and it's exactly what I want. I have no motive to envy anybody else's.
I just don't happen to like that pool and I think it's ostentatious. It's possible to be critical without being envious.

So keep an ear out for people with a pool and you may end up with new friends and a whole new set of experiences. Every summer we welcome friends of friends, and some become our friends. Be a good guest and you'll probably be invited back again and again.
