You have more of a life than I do. Telling someone about my boring life would at least be something to do. It's pretty bad when the highlight of my day is picking out a dozen oranges and a half-dozen bananas from the produce section at FreshCo.
 
Don't feel bad man, I've done that a few times as well.

I get all amped up about something and just can't seem to shut my yap long enough to realize nobody but me cares haha. It's cool, it just means it wasn't the right audience, not that anything you said was bad, right?

So next time you'll try to be more aware of your audience. Making mistakes isn't bad, repeating them is
 
My FAVorite pair of sunglasses I own, I got off the sidewalk one day a year or two ago. I was out for a walk, saw them on a bridge, and hung them on the nearby fence, just in case the person who lost them came looking for them. They looked expensive (don't ask brand...I have no idea ;)). Well.....two days later I happened to drive by the area, ...and they were STILL there. So...they are now mine. Unfortunately I do not wear contacts anymore, and they do not fit over my glasses. I keep them because I will probably get contacts again.

There's nothing to feel bad about. He's your friend, it's in his job description to listen to mundane stories about your life. I mean, who else are you supposed to talk to about things that interest you?
 
Don't worry. If he was there the whole time, he wasn't bored to death.
I really like when people are really enthusiastic about what they do for a living. It says something about your work ethics. I'd hire you. ;)

I do makeup and tell people what clothes to wear. I like what I do. But tell people what you do and they look at you like your Richard Simmons.
