  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Yeah, I have no life...

Well that I didn't expect. Need to let that one sink in for a bit... any idea what colour?
Is it a Honda?

It was a GM truck. In a deep red color. I used to see him about when I lived out in malibu.

I think most people feel like they have no lives. Especially on the weekend. haha

I feel like a lot of you do, too. I had to move back home from Florida because I was growing more and more dissatisfied with my job at Disney. Since moving back home, I've started a new business doing software and web development, mostly for local school districts. I've got quite a few projects under my belt now, and am hoping to expand, but it is SUCKING the life out of me. It's not physically or mentally hard, but I have so many things I'm working on that I hardly get a full day off.

Couple that with the fact that I have only ONE other friend who lives within a 100 mile radius of me. I haven't had much time to go out there and meet new people, and luckily I've been able to hang out with this one friend a few times, but I need more than just one, you know?

My suggestion (which is what I'm doing tonight!) - go out on a date with yourself. Take yourself out to dinner or a movie. Grow that relationship with yourself, so you won't become too dependent on needing others. Then when others show up in your life, you'll have yourself taken care of and not worry too much about anyone else.

You know. If your friend even feigned the least interest in you describing all of it without yawning...then you have the best friend in the world. Treasure them.

And return the favour by listening to them go on and on about their latest whatever.

The one topic I hardly talk about unless someone is really eager to know.

Some people's jobs are really exciting for me, others not so. I had a blast hearing an engineer discuss about his work and one time had a conversation with a post grad med student doing a fellowship in forensic pathology, now that's fun to talk about.
