Does anyone else like their music?

Yes, I was hooked when I was up late one night and I saw their video for Maps. I decided to check them out and I ended up turning into a fan ever since. I haven't heard all their albums, but so far I really like Art Star, Y control, and Date with the Night.

I LOVE the Yeah Yeah Yeahs! Their music has star power, loads of edge, and energy.

Fever to Tell was such a rock-out-with-your-cock-out album! Loved it! And major pluses for the sweet, slow songs like Rich Song, Maps, and Modern Romance.

I was even more impressed with Show Your Bones, where their energy seemed to be focused into something more mellow, but still distinctly them.

Favorite band, most definitely.

Probably the only band I like where I love every track on their albums.

I saw the YYYs at Lolla, too. I thought they were really good. Daft Punk was incredible. Their set was easily my favorite of the weekend.

Anyway, I love the new EP; "Down Boy" is my favorite, but really every song on it is great. I hope that this EP is indicative of the direction on their next album, but the songs for this one were written on the tour for Fever to Tell, so the grittiness on this one may just be because of the grittiness of FtT.

Not really. I like Bjork at times, but I find her transient sound to be too slow and unfocused for me. I prefer something less ambient. But I do like Frosti as an instrumental and Venus as a Boy.

I love Bjork. I was going to see her at Austin City Limits in a couple weeks, but now I have to miss the first day, the day she's playing. My favorite record of hers is Homogenic and I really like the new one, Volta, a lot, too.
I really like the YYYs cover of "Hyperballad," too.

Ironicly, yes, i'm a huge fan of Bjork.

Really it was curiosity. Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Bjork are in their own category in my music library. When I listen to them, the music just hits me from such an unexpected angle and as an artist it's really inspiring; at the risk of sounding crazy, sometimes I close my eyes and I swear I can see the colors of their sounds lol.

I did not know that YYY's covered Hyper Ballad! I would really love to hear it! Can it be found on one of their cd's or do I have to hunt for it online??? in which case, links would be appreciated! Thanx
