We want everyone to enjoy JUB. For your benefit, though, Current Events and Politics isn't really the place to be controversial just for the sake of poking a stick at posters in order to get attention.

Unlike many boards, or Facespacepagebook threads where posters just throw bombs to see what happens, CE&P has a higher standard on JUB.

We look for opinions based on reasons and arguments based on fact...not just random opinions that a poster can't support. It is what keeps the forum civilized and even when the conservatives and liberals are in opposite corners...able to have productive discussions.

I am assuming that the Poulan is a fair warning....over 13 years we've had many people who turn up who want to break things or stir things up. Some of them do it successfully...others just flame out. We want people to stick around and be part of the boards.

Over the next 12 months, we expect to see a number of trolls turn up on this board. In the past, we've had the paid poli-ops who are here to spread misinformation and to create chaos. It is reassuring to know that you are not one of these.

Oh my, yes, that's why I currently have issues with Twitter. I cannot stand the way the world is nowadays. That's one reason why Trump was so appealing to me. Hell, on Twitter, I made one little innocent funny joke about a fat woman on a TV show, and these Anti-Trumpers called me every name in the book.
