For me, the Opening Ceremony starts in 15 minutes.

But a real treat was all the time NBC spent with that love of my life, Apollo Ohno.

Loving the ceremony so far.
Can't wait to see the torch and the final carrier of it.

Canada is beautiful.
Very hospitable.

Best of luck to ALL nations!
Go World! :)

Love from the States!

Was nice to see them take a minute of silence to remember the athlete who died.

Ooo! Joni Mitchell is sining now. It's a tribute to Canada's prairies, from which Joni came (Alberta). She's singing Both Sides Now, and there's a circus artist flying around the stadium. Awesome.

Love the stage, with the cool lighting! ..|

Beautiful opening ceremony. Loved every second of it! One day I will visit your magnificent country. ..|

Well except for the flame malfunction, one of the posts didn't come up. No erection eh!

I was sort of quoting the NBC commentators.

And, they "lied" about "The Great One" and the lighting, earlier, lol.

Brought back memories of Sydney 2000 when the cauldron could stuck, and Cathy Freeman had to stand there like a stunned mullet holding her torch.

k d lang is doing her piece now: Hallelujah, written by Leonard Cohen. She's awesome -- I could listen to her sing all day.

It's a 60,000 person candlelight concert! :gogirl:

I'm proud to be CANADIAN!

The country the produces people with generous hearts and tremendous talents. The most tolerant country in the world - no matter what your religious belief, political affiliation or sexual preference is. The country that produces the most livable cities in the world - Vancouver (1st), Toronto (4th), and Calgary (5th) in the The Economist 2010 rankings.

CANADA rocks!
