Live version of Moving Mountains from her recent release "Between My Head and the Sky" featuring Antony (and the Johnsons).

The track she has with Basement Jaxx, Day of the Sunflowers (We March on) is genius in how frickin' loopy it is. It's on their new album, Scars.

i feel like i have been gushing about everyone today. i love this lady too. i would totally love to sit down and have a conversation with this woman. she doesn't get enough credit as an artist or musician. it's a pity.

Are you joking? She should have died of artistic shame thirty years ago, like I did when I opened the youtube-link.

"I'm Going Away Smiling". Another beautiful collaboration with Antony.

I quite like the CD. Not something I'll put on a lot, but I enjoy it when it's on.

it's a grower all right. not as challenging as some of her other work. nice change of pace from what's out there today.

"change of pace"? what is that, scream therapy?

This song is like no other and sounds as fresh today as the day it was released back in 1981. This foreshadowed a lot of 80's new wave.

Thursday, November 5:

NBC: Late Night With Jimmy Fallon: Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon

She took the stage with a version of her forever-shifting Plastic Ono Band that included son Sean Lennon and super-producer Mark Ronson, and then she proceeded to scream and yowl and cackle and generally freak the fuck out. I wonder what the tourists in the studio audience must've thought.

On February 16, the Plastic Ono Band will play the Brooklyn Academy of Music's Howard Gilman Opera House. Ono will share the stage with a whole battalion of fellow musicians, including regular collaborators like Sonic Youth's Thurston Moore and Kim Gordon, Cornelius, producer Mark Ronson, ex-Cibo Matto member Yuka Honda, and son Sean Lennon.

But the bill also includes some gigantically popular old-school entertainer types: Bette Midler, Eric Clapton, and Paul Simon.

Plastic Ono Band will also play Oakland's Fox Theater as part of San Francisco's Noise Pop festival on February 23. Cornelius, Yuka Honda, and Sean Lennon will once again back up Ono. Deerhoof will open.

Woman please let me explain,
I never mean(t) to cause you sorrow or pain,
So let me tell you again and again and again,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,
I love you (yeah, yeah) now and forever,
I love you (yeah, yeah)...

Yoko Ono's first live show with the revived (We Are) Plastic Ono Band in more than 20 years, at the BAM Opera House in Brooklyn, N.Y., sold out in minutes. As Brooklyn Vegan reports, a second show is now on sale, being billed as a live rehearsal with Ono and her band - including son Sean Lennon, Cornelius, Yuka Honda and Haruomi Hosono - and with the added tease of possible special guests.

We Are Plastic Ono Band Dress Rehearsal

Mon, Feb 15 at 8pm

WE ARE PLASTIC ONO BAND on February 16 sold out immediately! Due to popular demand, a special dress rehearsal show featuring Yoko Ono and her core band (Sean Lennon, Yuka Honda, and Cornelius) has been added. They have never done anything like this before and probably never will again. This will certainly be a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and while no special guest artists are slated to rehearse, you never know...

Oh no Yoko!

Lady Gaga to Perform with Yoko at Plastic Ono Band Concert:eek::cry:

Following her celebrity-filled "We Are Plastic Ono Band" concert at the Brooklyn Academy of Music earlier this year, Yoko Ono has announced the special guests -- including Lady Gaga -- to be featured at her performances at Los Angeles' Orpheum Theater on Oct. 1-2.

Along with Gaga, who will share the stage with Plastic Ono Band on Oct. 2, Iggy Pop, the RZA, Perry Farrell and Sonic Youth's Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore will all contribute to the showcase's two-night run.

Other guests for the Los Angeles shows include Carrie Fisher, Vincent Gallo, Haruomi Hosono, Harper Simon, Tune-Yards, Nels Cline and Mike Watt. Plastic Ono Band, which will play under the musical direction of Ono's son Sean Lennon, previously welcomed Eric Clapton, Bette Midler, and Paul Simon as guests during Plastic Ono Band's Brooklyn revival last February.

A week after the Los Angeles performances, Ono will celebrate what would have been John Lennon's 70th birthday with a series of peace-promoting events and a Plastic Ono Band concert in Iceland on Oct. 9.
