You own a convertible, but the top's always up?!

um...What's up with this?! Today was probably the best day of the year so far....sunshine galore...not too hot out...not real windy....yet I saw a dozen convertibles with the tops up?!

People should have their cars taken away from them if they can't use them properly. Get a mini van or something and give the convertible to me.

I know that around there there is a HUGE pollen "epidemic"... that might be a reason for around here.... elsewhere, I don't know...

i've owned a couple convertibles thru the years and i like their looks with the top up better than down plus the a/c is nice the older you get.

Yesterday here, it was 98°F. That's too hot for me to have my top down. I love driving with the top down, and I do after dark, but in the heat of the day, I keep it up and run the A/C.

A friend of mine got a 68 (or so) cadillac convertible when he was 16. His mother made him promise to always drive with the top up in case he rolled it.

We've owned 3 convertibles over the years and absolutely LOVED them and where ever we went we drove with the top down....

...........and, if we do/did NOT have an out-right convertible, we DO have a "hole-in-the-roof" of the auto's! lol

So, if you live in the "Sunny" environs, why NOT use the convenience of a "rag-top" or at least a "moon-roof", etc?????

I have a red convertible and it only goes out when I can have the top down, but the opposite of this thread. I like a motorcycle for the same reason, the air in your face.

But when I bought mine, the dealer said to me, "If you go to Callifornia for a week, rent a convertible, and drive all week with the top down then come back and I will sell you a car." This was supposed to mean that I would get my fill. It didn't work.
