Ok... I don't understand.

That video that I posted about the Fratmen bridge climb was removed from Youtube for being innappropriate.

And I can't figure out what could possibly be inappropriate about 5 guys talking about climbing a bridge.

there was no nudity, there was no foul language and there was nobody doing anything other than talking about climbing a bridge.

All I can think of is that I had "gay" in the search phrases. which would REALLY cause a problem.

Perhaps it was the guy in the bathtub? Or the other guys with no shirts and stroking their chests?

Seems odd to me. there was nothing inappropriate in the video that I could see.

Oh, didn't they talk about people suspecting they were doing gay porn up there?

you're not allowed to talk about being suspected of doing porn now?

even talking about being suspected of it is enough?

You can watch the video for "Do you take it in the ass?" by the wetspots, but just talking about doing porn is inappropriate? ("Do you take it in the ass" features a straight couple pegging)

I didn't see the video, was it a Fratmen video with your logo and everything? Maybe someone didn't know you were the one to upload it officially and reported it as copyright infringement. If a video is flagged as inappropriate, there should only be a warning when visiting the page, but it wouldn't be taken down.

It did have our tag on it.. but ALL my videos have tags on it.

All I can think of is that we discuss being there to make a porn movie.

It was a very honest and open homoerotic video, if you don´t think that can be "dangerous" enough...

I remember about a case of censorship in Spanish cinema during the darker years of the Franquist dark era (ok, dark eras are the norm in Spain)... anyway, some priest found that a slow zooming-in on the eyes of a young actress should be cut off: hot, sleepy guys on couchs or taking a bubble bath are not the norm for certain "decent" minds.
If Spongebob or Tinky Winky can be gay that clip could easily be porn, and the more innocent-looking the more pervert.

Just trying to be rational about irrational issues

There IS that.

Oh well, I'll edit out the part where we discuss the making of a porn movie and I'll load it back up again.

It's probably because you had a link to a porn site on it.
That might be it. I guess people not interested in clips featuring hot guys don´t miss that sort of details.
And a link promoting porn is much more harmful than material promoting blind hate.

They take down any video that might be a form of advertisement.

Ha! and all the clips of songs and music are not a form of promoting CDs?
What?! That those may not have any specific trademark associated?

It's just music that people put on their videos. Unless you mean the music videos. Advertising like "visit www.blahblahblah.com" but it seems that I see a lot gay content on there. I uploaded my videos from Gaydays at Disneyland and they haven't taken it off yet. There are homophobic people on youtube, and all they have to do is flag it enough times for the video to be taken off from the website.

I mean a mere amateur playing a piece of Bach or some old movie of Louis Armstrong or a song performed during a live concert.

If youtube finds it violating any copyright laws then they remove it. They removed one of my videos due to it being copyright. So they are strict on that. I've seen live concerts on there that don't seem to get taken off from youtube.

Hopefully it was just a fear of copyright infringement. I don't recall a thing in the video that would get more than a PG13 rating.

I bet they are watching the copyright issues a lot closer now that they have big bucks behind them. It's only a matter of time until the big lawsuits and judgments start coming. I think Google was absolutely stupid for purchasing YouTube.

I mean someone posted a video about a guy getting AIDS after having sex, from youtube, it was set to where you had to press okay for adult content but it hasn't been deleted yet.

I've seen a lot of porn with guys kissing on youtube and it's still on there. So pretty much it had something to do with advertisement or people just didn't like it and flagged the shit out of it to where Youtube removed it.

The "ask a gay man" videos are still up. Is it because he is putting gays into a bad light/stereotyping them and therefore socially acceptable?
