Don't post much but I thought I would throw this out. Where I work there are people of all ages, 16-70. There is this one high school boy that is sending me all sorts of signals. He is 17 and I'm 22, we share the same birthday and it was recent. To start it all off he is constantly pulling up his shirt in front of me to wipe his face since we work outside all the time. He has told me that he shaves his pubes and which way he "hangs" in his underwear. Somedays he touches me all day and other days he doesn't. Now I touch him back and sometimes I even start, nothing but just grabbing his chest and stuff like that. Today he was very touchy feely and at one point wanted to work with me rather than help another guy that he goes to school with and knows well. He talks about all these girls he gets but he never says their names, yet he took a lesbian to prom. Also today he was playing with my phone and was like "Who is this" and I was like this girl I go to lunch with a lot, he sounded almost jealous. I flirt with him, nothing to obvious. I just wanted to see what others had to say about this.

I read this and I about died. I went through this same thing and it is so funny and weird to see someone else going through the same problem I went through. I worked with a guy, he was a year younger than me, and he and I would do all of the things you described, and it went so far as me grabbing his crouch and fondling it, and him grabbing me back. I eventually quit the job before it could go any farther, or if he liked me and he was flirting with me, or if he was just being a dumb guy who PLAYED and TOUCHED way to much. I know this is getting long so I will tell you the advice I got, but never got to use. Just tell him you like him, and do it nice and gentle, but tell him none the less and see where it goes from there. It's better to have it out in the open, then to wonder what coulda been like me. GOOD LUCK.

Perhaps it's harmless fun, or perhaps he's sending you signals and doesn't know how to be direct or is afraid to be. The problem is, you don't know which it is and never will until one of you does or says something overt.

In some areas, 17 year olds are taboo and illegal. Be careful.

Good luck with this. Judging by threads and posts about this issue, it seems to be pretty common. Hopefully, someone with good experiences will post.

Eh, keep it harmless and friendly because:

1. He's a co-worker: "don't shit where you eat"

2. He's 17. That's a 5 year age difference. I'm all for age-difference relationships but not when he's a minor. In most areas, five years difference is illegal. Sorry.

I agree with Just Believe18 (holy awkward times typing that out vs your actual name...Anywho), this just screams Jailbait! Does anyone remember that movie?!

Harmless fun is good. And you never know if things keep up the way that they do, maybe when he turns 18, something could happen?

I'd check to see if 17 is the legal age in your jurisdiction and then if it is.... and you like him and he likes you.... and you're not his boss.... and this isn't a permanent job for either of you, you should try to see where it would go. 5 years difference isn't much at all. You could end up being one of the most important people in each other's life.

If, on the other hand, any one of the above conditions isn't met....just leave it alone.

I thought that saying was "don't fuck where you eat"? But either way it's the same thing.

Just like Just_Believe18 said, watch out the age of consent laws in your land DGlookin. Some countries are very conservative while some are more liberal. In Australia, the age of consent is as low as 16 :) not that it matters to me because when I was younger than 16, I mucked around with guys who were either a few months younger or older than me.

Boy did your post bring back memories! Something similar happened to me years ago. I had just graduated from college and was working in a place with many younger guys. One boy started "flirting" with me. At the time I was still kind of unsure as to whether I was gay or not so i just kind of let it slide.

One day he told me he had gotten a blow job the night before. Half joking and half probing I responded "Oh what was his name?" He turned red and did not answer. A few days passed with increasing sexual banter. Then one night he actually followed me to my apartment! That night we just hung out but a friendship did develop. He was not shy about changing out of his work clothes in front of me and I grew comfortable seeing him naked--cute and hung--and him seeing me naked!

Well needless to say one thing led to another and one night he suggested we jerk off together. I eagerly agreed. That was the begining of a wonderful sexual relationship that lasted for a few months until I got transfered--unrelated--I got promoted. He was 17 at the time but turned 18 shortly after.

So maybe he is sending you signals. If you want to find out Maybe make some sexually suggestive cracks to him in a joking manner and see how he responds.

Oh man, been there, be careful. I work with a lot of guys like that and they know exactly what they are doing. If you start messing around it can cause drama at work. Also, if you start having problems between each other, seventeen year olds can be ruthless. I would say it's cool to flirt back but no where to draw the line.

Being 17, he might just be displaying boyish behavior like he did with his high school chums.
He's the newbie and still finding his way and himself in an adult working environment.
He might also be sexually interested in you, but let him take the lead (provided it's legal and you're not concerned about your job).

This does sound familiar to me. Back in college I was working full time on campus with a high school student for the summer. He was 16 or 17 from what I remember and I was maybe 20 or 21 at the time. He would spend must of the day grabbing at himself and moving things down there around and raising his shirt up to sratch is stomach. Truthfully I think he knew that I was gay, and did it just as a way to get me turned on. Being his supervisor at the time I didn't want to make any moves, primarily because he would have been jailbait and for some reason I like life on this side of the bars. Here is the best part. About a year ago I ran into him one night with another guy and they were being quite affectionate.

Had I only known at the time.
