You probably need to go to your General Settings page and uncheck the "Enhanced Attachment Uploading on" option. Doing this will make posting pictures more like the old method

Exactly. I did it a few days ago myself.

For image attachment in large size...

You can go back to the old way by going to 'My Setting' then 'General Settings' then scroll down to 'Miscellaneous Options'
Next to 'Enhanced Attachment Uploading' change to 'Enhanced Attachment Uploading Off'

Then Save Changes
