To add an attachement
Under the last post in the same page, above the Quick Reply edit box is the button "Post Reply", it will take you to a more complex edit box below which there are serveral "Additional Options"
Choose the Attach Files area with the "Manage Attachments" button. Click on the button and a pop up Manage Attachements picture uploader form appears. Use the Browse buttons to choose files from your computer and once you've selected your files (up to 5 at a time) you can click on the 'Upload' button and wait for it to upload. Once it's uploaded, the filenames will appear within the Manage Attachments screen. You can now close that window, and it will be appended to you post. Write an explanation in the message edit box and then press the "Submit Reply" button, and it will appear in the thread you're writing in.
Please note there are file size restrictions, and picture content must be over 18 and within the rules outlined in the Code of Conduct

I tried this. And under "Additional Options" there are only 3 sub options: Miscellaneous Options, Thread Subscription and Rate Thread.
I'm going to assume I require some amount of posts before attachments become available to me (25, perhaps, this seems to be the number of posts required to post a link).
Woe is me.
