I like 3somes and groups but it seems like only men 35+ are you into it. A lot of guys I talk to in their 20's and early 30's prefer 1 on 1 only. Why is this?

Well I cannot speak for eveyone but I like to be with just one guy.. even when I hooked up with two other guys, well I always found one of them to be more attractive than the other..
When I was in early 20's tired threesomes a few times.. but always like one guy more than the other..
Maybe when someone get older, well they have had enough of one on on sex and want to try something new.. I don't know exactly.
Maybe it's too hard for me to focus on multiple guys. Hell I've actually never thought too much about it..
Could be I like to make love, not just have sex.. I dunno.

Yea, I would think it would be the other way around. Like more younger guys wanting to experiment....but I guess you are bound to find an older guy who knows he likes it, instead of a younger guy who wants to experiment.

Because in a threesome you feel like you have to give each of the other guys equal time. Whereas at an orgy, it's understood that if you're not into somebody, you don't have to do anything with them.

It's part of that generational thing where younger guys are more into commitment and partnership, etc.

There are so many factors that could be a part of this. Older guys lived in a time when it was far more difficult to form a serious and meaningful relationship with another man. Since you couldn't be with one man, you'd go from guy to guy. Sexual barriers come down. Relationships change. Sex with multiple partners becomes the norm and you start having your partners at the same time.

Younger guys live in a world where they can foster a mutual love between themself and a solid partner. The desire for multiple partners goes way down. Barriers remain in place. Orgies don't happen as often.

Also, I think the younger crowd has a heightened awareness of the perils that came out of the older generations' sexual habits. We're more aware of STIs and our own mortality. This makes the prospect of a threeway fairly unappealing to most.

I'm 26, I like to fantasize about threeways and an occasional orgy, but I would NEVER do it. My guy is 24 and thinks orgies are revolting, but likes watching threesums in porn, would never actually do it. Of all my friends under 30, only two have had a threeway... and they're straight. They "supposedly" had threeways with two girls.

I doubt it's accurate.

The preference for single partner vs. more would likely be a conditioning or lack thereof by social mores and expectations.

Of course, it's entirely possible that there is a hedonistic progression that moves from being simply exploration to using others like so much sandwich spread. If that's it, then maybe it takes a few years to degrade to that point.

While I don't like the judgmental tone (assuming you weren't being sarcastic) I think it was probably just a sampling error for the most part, combined with a few generational differences.
