In my work, I have dealt with this for over 40+ years now.
The memes about someone's failure to plan is not my crisis are risible.
And somehow false. In any profession or actual work or even in personal relationship situations, I see it as a central role that the victim (me or you) plays in helping to navigate everyone as calmly and safely through the shoals and waves as we can.
Do you feel that you always rise to the occasion and enjoy the satisfaction of problem solving?
Do you ever want to stab a sharpened pencil through the neck of the person (people) who did this to you on a day you had no fucking patience for it?
Have you ever just told someone (personally or professionally) 'Not my circus, not my monkeys' and then gone home and got a good night's sleep not caring whether they survived or not?
Spill the tea.
