When I think of White Artists with SoulFul Voices I think of:

1. Michael McDonald

2. Michael Bolton

3. George Michael

4. Taylor Dane

5. Lisa Stansfield

6. Jon B.

7. Robin Thick

8. Pink

9. Teena Marie

Teena Marie is the epitome, I'd say. Not many others fooled soul radio audiences into think she was "one of them"...

Lex

Janis Joplin - Maybe

Pink - Misery

Christina Aguilera - It's a Man's World

Joss Stone - Son of A Preacher Man

Amy Winehouse hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet. Shame on you all. [-X

Our apologies. We forgot that Ms. Winehouse created the "blue-eyed soul" genre. Without her, Caucasians would've never known that they could sing soulfully. Please forgive us. :D

And not exactly "soul", but there's Judge Dread and his series of 70s "naughty" reggae numbers. They sounded as authentic as anything coming out of Jamaica at the time.

Apparently, reggae fans were thrown for a loop when they finally went to one of his concerts and saw...

....this guy.

More than one fan admitted later "I assumed he was security."

The name didn't ring a bell so I googled. I cracked up because it turns out that Bonnie sings Never Ending Song of Love one of my Mom's favorite songs. That's one that I remember her singing around the house when I was 3 or 4.
