I love to see excellent films. I saw several very good films this year. What films were your favorites for 2007
Here are a few of my favorites:
Away From Her (I hope this one wins something: amazing performances, touching, loving, sad, scarry, and educational. A perfect example of what true love is. I would not wish alzheimer's upon anyone, but I do wish that everyone is able to experience in their lifetime that level of love that the husband had for the his wife.)
Juno
The Namesake
Michael Clayton
Sicko (I hope that this one wins best documentary)
The Hoax
Gone Baby Gone:
Pan's Labyrinth:
Lives Of Others:
For a movie to be good to me, it must have excellent writing, acting and be an all around good film. That does not mean that I expect the writer to spell everything out for me and tie it up in a bow at the end. I don't feel the need for that and I sometimes find it to be a better film when the writer leaves some things undone. I like a film that makes people think.
I'm surprised that Knocked Up was rated so highly. It was way too predictable and boring. Juno is a much better film.
