I am a Huge fan of Seinfeld and I wondered what other JUBers thought of the show. By the way, Seinfeld was voted by TV guide as the #2 comedy of all-time, behind The Simpsons.

My favorite episodes:

The Marine Biologist

The Face Painter

The Fusilli Jerry

The Mom and Pop Store

The Merv Griffin Show

and about 12 others.

When the show went off the air.

Not that I disliked the show. I watched it sometimes, and liked it. I just got sick of people either saying "This is just like the Seinfeld episode where...", or actively mimicking something on the previous week's episode. I know that means the show did a great job at tapping into the human condition, but it seemed more like people were aping Seinfeld rather than Seinfeld was reflecting people.

None. Stupid, unfunny show. Along with Friends and just about anything else since Malcom in the Middle.

woah, Seinfeld is one of the best shows ever. I suggest you guys watch some episodes

Yikes all the Seinfeld hate! I enjoy it, it's funny. It was fairly important for sitcom development in the 90s. Couldn't pick out a favorite moment.

I stopped watching it when George got himself engaged and his fiancée died licking envelopes.

It had been getting stupid and that storyline clinched it for me. Now I can't even stand to watch the episodes I used to think were funny.

"No soup for you!"
Elaine dancing.
The one where Jerry becomes a movie bootlegger.
The Competition.

The final episode was a masterpiece!

The Nazi Rally

Elaine's Nipple

Gift of the Cadillac

"You are so-o-o good lookin'!"

"These pretzels are making me thirsty!"

"Not that there's anything wrong with that..."

I loved any episode where Jerry turned sideways to the camera and I could see his bubble butt.

The best episode was the one where Elaine dated Jimmy, who always spoke of himself in the third person. In the same episode, Kramer is mistakenly thought of as retarded, and Mel Torme sings to him at a banquet. It was hysterical.
I have to agree with gsdx that the episode where Susan dies licking wedding invitations was a turning point for me. When George brushed off her death, I just started disliking the character I once loved, and the show started to sour for me.

I don't know, but I though this was pretty funny:

Elaine: I don't know how you guys walk around with those things.

i was gonna list that one. that line is always in my head. Elaine was definitely the one to watch for me. her and her "GET OUT!!!"

loved the dope moves she busted at the office party.

and i always loved her laugh.

used to really enjoy the show, but these days it's kinda hard to get back into it like i used to. still check out the occasional rerun though

I don't know the name, but it was on the other day. It was the one where Kramer gets really tan and keeps having Newman add butter to his spa. Elaine and Putty are coming back from overseas, and Jerry is throwing his show to take Banya down.

Yikes all the Seinfeld hate!
Double yikes, seriously. It's funny to see all the hate for a show that has proven to be a historic comedic success. Everyone doesn't have to like it, but there is no arguing with fact that the show is one of the alltime greatest shows.
