BUTTERSCOTCH PIE!

The version I get from a place in Ohio when I'm there - an exceptional example of the genre - is, in my estimation, perhaps the most delicious substance ever made by human beings anywhere.

I can't think of *ANY* edible substance I've ever had anywhere, that I like more than that damned pie (which I have to travel nearly 500 miles to get, but thankfully it's in a direction I sometimes travel).

I just finished a Tiramisu. Delicious!

It's a tie between that and creme brulee.

Actually may favorite was a dessert that my Grandmother made when she was alive. It's a fried dough made of root vegetables shaped into an 8 shape, with a dip that tasted like honey with star anise.

For the cheese cake lovers, skip all the noveau gunk (see post #3) and go witha plain fresh blackberry coulis topping. Preferable to strawberry and raspberry.

In season, try a reduction of satsuma/mandarin orange: wonderful at christmas when in season.

I prefer cheesecake unchilled.

Blackberry coulis is good, but I actually do prefer blueberry. But, y'know, different strokes.

Triple decker chocolate cake with fudge marble ice cream on the side(yes, I too wonder how I have all my teeth after all that sugary goodness).

I also had this ice cream cake sort of thing that Kroger no longer sells that LOOKS like a Tiramisu but isn't one... and boy, if there ever was a heaven, that stuff would greet you at the gate!

I admit though I have a bit of a penchant for dodgy canned rice pudding. It is terrible compared to homemade but I enjoy it none the less.
