Your favourite thing about your home country

attachment.php

You mean other countries don't have those!

Same-sex marriage and more sepration of church and state.

Okay, I cheated, that's two.

You stole mine! One of my other favourite things about Canada is the fact that one day I will be able to adopt children (unless I move to Nunavut or the Yukon, but I'm too much of a city boy to ever move to either of those two territories. And no, Whitehorse does not count as a city!).

Inexpensive and comprehensive health care coverage for everyone. Close behind that would be same-sex marriage and adoption rights. Norway is a wonderfully progressive country! :)

If I wasn't born in Canada, I'd definitely move to Norway. :)

The funny thing is Norway is also number 2 on my list. Although my friend from Norway thinks I am crazy for wanting to move there. She finds it too cold there, but I have to remind her that I am from Canada so I am used to the cold. She also thinks I'm crazy for wanting to live in Oslo, because she prefers smaller cities, but I am city boy and big cities are for me. :)

Personally, I'd choose the natural beauty of Canada, especially the province in which I reside; British Columbia. My mountains are my favourite thing in the whole world, and I'd never be able to live without them.

What about you?

Had already composed what I was going to say right when I read the title of this thread, and it seems like you've taken the exact words right out of my mouth :P.

It IS cold here, but not as cold as many would have it, actually... :) And as far as cities goes, there are about 600,000 people in Oslo, and yet it sometimes still can have a small town feel to it. The best of both worlds! :)

Affordable Health Care.

Sadly I no longer live in my home country.

I feel the same way about my mountains as you feel about yours Trickey Rogue
Northern Greenville County South Carolina; I wouldn't live anywhere else
........It's beautiful here

I agree the mountains...two counties away in Oconee County South Carolina we have mountains along with two of the most beautiful and cleanest lakes in the US.

The Appalachian Mountains.

They're so beautiful. I love it.

I love Steven Harper, hes my Idol!!!!!..................Not
But seriously the marriage/adoption thing is awesome!

Spring & Autumn that's my favourite thing about Australia. Winter sucks arse and summer is too hot, but life is just about perfect in Spring & Autumn.

Don't be complaining about your winter! You're winter feels like Vancouver's spring or autumn! lol
