Your idea of a good dinner

I'm not a huge fan of steak, but I can enjoy anything from a greasy pub burger to a bit of caviar.
 
When I'm not embarrassed by my dinner partner and they pay.
 
go to an asian buffet and pig out on all the oysters, baked mussels, fishes, shrimps....then finish the dinner off with some coldstone's ice cream.

oh heaven!
 
Well, despite being hoity toity, the best meal I still have ever had was when my brother rolled into town and took me out to one of the major steak houses here.

It was by far the best steak I've ever had in my life, and I've had a fair amount of them. Though next time I'll know better and order a T-Bone, as opposed to Filet Mignon.
 
My Mum's Sunday roast followed by apple pie & cream was just the best ever!!!

Love camp oven meals, too. We have friends who live on a farm and every now and then they treat us to a camp oven meal around a bonfire in the evening (with plenty of drinking to wash it all down!). It's great fun and the food is amazing. Some pics I took from one of their nosh-ups ....

I reckon something where people can mingle... everyone brings a plate of something, people walk around, chat, take a bite and a sip here and there... oh, so relaxing and so fun.
 
I've had amazing dinners that cost $5, and amazing dinners that cost over $100. I've eaten them in my nicest clothes, and in a T-shirt and sweatpants. I've had dinners that left me nicely satisfied, and dinners that left me too full to move. I've had them in groups of 20, with one wonderful dining companion, and all alone. And I'm happy that I can appreciate them all for what they are, and can enjoy them all whenever they appear.

... Im not really a seafood/sushi person... my stomach can take fast food but it's literally like a time bomb and I have to go to the toilet soon enough... hate pizza, I can't ever have too much... it's just too heavy. I still don't get the people who can take on 2 large pizzas on their own.

What's left? Very few vegetables I like... chicken, beef, and lamb are okay, rice is okay... I love having something cool with my food... for example, love yogurt with some piping hot rice + chicken curry on top. I like crepes though... they're light and easy.

BBQ is okay too.... then again I find it too much of a fuss setting up the damn thing.
