Half of the population. I have not found a half cat yet. I don't know if it's raccoons or coyotes or maybe that mountain lion is back. Whatever it is has cut the herd from 22 to 12 in the last two months which is a pretty big hit.

No cats in the house other than Honey Bear once in a while to watch TV with Penny. It's not just the litterbox thing. It's a "get off of the dining room table and the kitchen counters!" thing.

I'm almost in the middle of 40 acres. With another 60 in one direction to a paved road. How much on the back edge, I don't know, about 100 acres. Then on the long side of the place, there's just guessing, about 300 acres. On the front edge, it's a mile to pavement. Cable TV is never going to happen.
Beats living in Austin.

Absolutely!
They are not all friend cats, that is, pick up and pet and they purr. They follow me around. But they don't hiss and run, they know who fills the food dish and I can skritch most of them on the back while they are eating. Seems to work.
