In all seriousness, I want to start a "super-political" campaign to make War a perfectly past institution.
I am trying to start a group that I call "Charisma Philosophy Workshop."

Well

I'm hoping my experimental malaria cure will someday make it into the big time and be proven clinically effective and become a useful treatment against the scourge. There's no money to be made in malaria drugs because it is a poor man's disease, so hopefully my treatment will make a difference in the end.

If nothing else, the treatment should give us insights into drug resistance which could have benefits for many parasitic diseases and also cancer.

I guess that's a fairly good legacy. Beyond that... well, we'll have to see.

I had a bit of an epiphany today.

I volunteered today at a local homeless shelter. I served the food. I had an opportunity to speak with many of the people who came by my mashed potatoes.

And you know what?? They're no different than you and me!

I met attorneys, doctors, stock traders all down on their luck.

So here's where I'm going with this:

Last election, the voters here approved $19,000,000 for new pools for out TWO high schools. There's nothing wrong with the existing pools. But they want new ones. And, they want to keep the old pools.

I was thinking today as I spent an evening with some of the most genuine, caring people I've met: why can't we raise 10% of that pool money to help our fellow man???

It really makes me sick. It does.

So I would like my impact to be is to help those who don't have as much as me.
Mos whom I met need a shower and some new clothes and some job education. They need some motivation, something to show them there's hope; there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

But no. We need pools, high-paid school superintendents.

It may be a best seller, or a damp squib. Either way, I'll've got it off my chest.
