Your new gay Diva, Ms. Jennifer Hudson, is a homophobic bitch!

I don't think there's anything wrong with what she said. I think it was a very honest interview. When you push her back against the wall she's religiously against it but in the reality of life she doesn't care. That's all I ask. You can choose not to do something because YOU think it's amoral just don't ask me not to do something because YOU think it's amoral. Period. There's no bigotry. Just honesty.

Tolerance GOES BOTH WAYS. There are a vast number of people who hold this belief and they have EVERY RIGHT TO. I don't agree with them obviously but you can't expect everyone to agree. What you can expect is people to act civily agreeing not to use their moral compass to try and guide myself. If you're waiting for everyone to stop believing homosexuality is a sin you're gonna die an unfufilled man(or woman). Religious dogma changes slowly it wasn't until like a decade after we were on teh moon that the church apologized for the whole Gaellelio (sp?) thing. So don't hold your breath. The dogma exists and for as long as exists there's someone believing it and relaying it to there kids, in effect perpetuating it. So dude chillax. Jennifer isn't bothering me, she isn't creating ammendments to the constitution, she isn't protesting funerals, she's being backed into corners by overly ambitiously reporters who mentally wrote the artice before even conducting the interview. Civility doesn't equal agreement just understandingn and some maturity.

I'm getting tired of the term "homophobic" being cast about so carelessly -- and by the community at that! Rosie's painting Kelly Ripa a homophobe because she didn't want Clay Aiken's bare hands touching her mouth -- as if to indicate Kelly would've loved to have a sanitation worker come in off the streets outside that Manhattan studio and grab her mouth because the sanitation worker is straight. People on this board are painting Jennifer Hudson with the homophobic brush because said "sin," regardless of the fact that she's said she has love for the gay community and has done interviews with gay publications and plans to perform at gay themed events... Nooooo she's homophobic because she said the Bible lists homosexual activity as a sin.

Okay. I read the Bible. It says plain as day in Leviticus 18:22 that a man shouldn't lay with another man as he would with a woman. Does that make me homophobic because I stated a simple fact? The fact being that it says that in the Bible.

I think we're being highly overly ridiculously sensitive. It seems like homosexuals are heterophobic -- willing to cast a straight person as a villain because, oh no! They've actually READ the Bible!

Unfortunately, so many gay people are cutting their noses off to spite their face because of those two passages, Lev. 18:22, 20:13 and not understanding that even though it was listed as a sin punishable by death, Christ was born and died for ALL of us, whether we're sinners or not, so that we wouldn't have to be "put to death" for ANY of our sins, and in turn have ever lasting life. People aren't studying the Bible, because they're terrified that all the Bible talks about is hating homosexuals, verse after verse, chapter after chapter, book after book, testament after testament... and it doesn't. And by not studying the Bible themselves, they're quick to be so brutal towards anyone who uses the Bible in their views on homosexuality. And what's worse, by not studying the Bible, we don't know whether or not someone is totally misusing it against us -- and then we wind up insulting other people who believe in God and Christ by judging them by the actions of that other person who called themselves a Christian who totally didn't know what they were talking about in the first place!

JDsmagik talking about gay Christian is an oxy moron. Well, then so are a heterosexual couple of five years who are having pre-marital sex but attend church on Sundays. So is that unmarried praise dancer who is pregnant with her second child out of wedlock. Wait a minute, so is that straight man who had that one night stand with his bosses' secretary, and then went home to his wife so they could make it to church tomorrow.

What I think is an oxy moron is an intolerant gay bigot.

The fact of the matter is fact of teh matter is the people who speak loudest seldom best represent any community. Just like the assholes shouting about gays don't speak for teh majority of Christians, the people who shout about "homophobia" every three secods are the extremes of this spectrum. As for gay Christian being an oxymoron that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. A Christian is a follower of Christ, who's actions and words send nothing against homosexuality. The biblical refference are LONG before the new testament and large portions of that book are commonly ignored. Don't spout of intolarant ingorancies about someones religous beliefs and certaintly NEVER tell anyone that they're not allowed to have the beliefs they choose. That's might be the pinnacle of ignorance.

She had to mention it because she was beinng asked about it directly!!!!! How is it HER fault what the interviewer choose to ask her?

"...Hudson admitted to the reporter that this was the first time anybody had asked for her thoughts on gay issues—to ask a relatively new star to comment on social issues, Kusner suggested, might be deemed unfair in some eyes.

But when Kusner asked Hudson to clarify on whether she’d just called being gay a sin, she responded..."

It clearly states she was asked for her opinion asked by someone who knew the answer they would get and the answer they wanted. Come on! The girl did nothing wrong get off her back.

i thankfully don't come from the bible belt (seriously, i'm so thankful you have no idea) but it seems to me, only homophobes would feel the need to bring up the bible at all when questioned about gays. i know i'm using something called logic and deductive reasoning here and that's difficult for some of you but try and keep up folks (especially you tavares...but i still love your bimbo ass boo). what she did is a subtle way of condemning gays without overtly doing so. THERE IS NO OTHER REASON TO POINT OUT WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS...nobody asked her extremely fat ass about the bible...just what SHE thought of gays. you're so scared of being disappointed by this empty headed heffer who you've given your hearts to you can't think clearly. get a grip. she got caught off guard alright...and she told the truth. i can't wait til she's back at mickey dee's asking "would you like fries with that?" and eating all the profits. bitch.

Shall I direct you to...
"But when Kusner asked Hudson to clarify on whether she’d just called being gay a sin, she responded..."
James, my little high-yella stick... probably with tastey nipples...

Um... where was I?

Logic and deductive reasoning my ass! There's a clear lack of that in your response. Why would someone bring up the bible? It's VERY CLEAR. When you ask someone's opinion on an issue they give it to you, when they give you an opinion they base it on their outlook on morality, which is in turned (for some people) determined by the bible. TADA!!! Common sense ..|

God, Jennifer Hudson just became famous and I'm already sick of her.

they weren't comment about the publication they were commenting about her. The basic sentiment being expressed was if she is in a pro-gay magazine she's obviously not a "homophobic bitch" because a homophobic bitch wouldn't choose to appear in a gay magazine even if you choose to doubt the validity of that publication the assumption is that she would be under the impression teh magazine is just what it claims to be. And You have no reason to believe that particular publication is anything less then what it claims to be.

Dude that's because that's exactly what you're we're saying. You can believe homosexuality is a sin. You can be against gay marriage and still not be intolerant or a homophobe. Those are your personal beliefs which you are free to have. And I hold nothing against her for them because she gets it. She get's that it's about tolerance and understanding not to push her morals on other people. And if someone chooses to appear in a gay publication you can NOT try and tell me with a straight face that they are trying supress or otherwise harm the gay community.

Do you not get this is just the type of person we need to reach out to if we're to make any progress? That this is a vast portion of America if not the world who are genuinely good all be it misguided people. Who have been shepparded to the wrong part of the bible and who could stand to learn a thing from Jennifer or two. You can't expect everyone to be madonna or Christina Aguelilera but you can ask them to just be tolerant and if you refuse to see tolerance as progress you're NEVER going to make any.

I dont actually care, she still has an amzing voice, and she never said she thought it was a sin.
but people,it IS a sin according to the bible, nothin the matter with stating that

I vote we move on. James started this with his immature incendiary ass. You'd have to have the reading comprehension of a third grader to take what she said -- even if the quote was used against her -- and turn it into some raging homophobic comment.

you should read the article james before you rant you head off, this is a major stfu

This is rediculous. Jennifer Hudson is NOT homophobic and the article is NOT saying that.

Jennifer is AWESOME!

Go Jenny!:gogirl:
