I was a metalhead - now I am a lover of all genres - so it was a shock the first time I walked into a gay club - I was 16 at the time - and got hammered with disco and dance music - but this is the song that was at the top of the charts - and somehow I took to it - still consider it as my gay anthem - brings me joy every time I hear it...

what's your coming out gay anthem song?

If there ever is time and place for a coming out party, these songs may be included in the playlist.:

A never dying anthem for living life as you are

Gently empowering

When bishez be still confused..

Just in my case, there would be a 'too' after the word boys. :D

I wonder if they're still performing, used to be a nightmare to get there 7" singles but worth sending away to the fanclub and going to record fairs for the added stickers and badges and coloured discs.

The hits that were popular about the year 2000 when I started having crushes on boys and I fantasized about being with them and cuddling.

back in the early 90s I worked for a while in a rock-n-roll club; manager was a big JP fan and former roadie of theirs

...always had some of their tunes on the play list

good times

^ I am a huge Priest fan - have seen them like 9 times on 6 different tours - and front row with backstage pass on the Screaming tour - my sister was dating one of the roadies for Iron Maiden named Phil - Rob Halford lead for priest is gay.... it is very apparent in a lot of their lyrics although metalheads just see the lyrics as hardcore as opposed to hardcore gay sex - he was trained classical opera and in his younger days could shatter glass - the last minutes of Screaming are a testimony of his incrediable range - I also thought that Solar Angels was about the AIDS epidemic....

Golden halos radiating higher
Diamond visions softly breathing fire
Sky processions we are watching you arrive

Silver crystals arching beams below
White light spirals lifting up to go
Glass formations solar angels spread their wings

Spectral gliders drifting in the air
Wheels of wonder floating everywhere
Draped in rainbows gently we ascend

This one... it was a great hit in the summer of 2004

(You don't get a single word? They sing in Romanian)
