Your Religion?

I might be a weirdo. But I'm my favorite weirdo so it's all ok. I'm not a fan of going to church. I get it, it's good to go and "socialize". The looks of scorn because I don't toss enough into the collection plate, stuff that noise.

To me, is there a God? I don't have proof but you see the trees leaf in Spring, puppies being born, warm Summer days, and on and on. It seems wondrously magical to me. Is it all the result of 14 billion years or are we like bugs in a jar for some kid's science project and the stars are air holes poked in the lid?

I don't know. I'm not smart enough to know.... any more than a chicken knows how to build a house.

I think, best I can figure how to say it, is, there are things we can't see... we don't have the sensory equipment. For example. you see light and all the colors are different frequencies.. Go to a lower frequency and you have infrared. We can't see that. Go higher, past purple and you have ultra violet. Go even higher and you have radio freq4uencies. We can't see radio frequencies of light.

Hey, you ever see a ghost? I've seen a few. One was one of my dogs after he died and he left footprints on the bed. On the bed in the spare bedroom. No beer involved. While Mom was in the nursing home I'd see someone out of the corner of my eye every few days walking across the front porch. Looked kinda like my Dad but young and skinny, like when I was a little kid, not 240 pounds. After Mom died, never saw him again.

I figure there is stuff we can't see, like radio frequencies, and can't understand because it's beyond what our bodies can do. Calling the tiny glimpse we can see once in a while "God" or "Ghost", well, if it helps you to figure life out by giving the feeling a name, why not? I'm pretty sure God is within.... it's part of being Human.

My whole family of ministers was fascinated with the paranormal. After all, that is the core of most (not all) religions that have been created by man. It's all about the spirits.
And, yes, I have had experiences with "ghosts", both physical and sensory. Or ... was it just my mind playing tricks? Either way, they were, and still are, real to me.
There are so many things beyond our senses that more than enough to boggle our little brains. Dogs can hear, and smell, far more than we can. Our eyesight is better, though.
Religion derived from our desire to understand who, where, why, and how, we were/are. We created explanations for what we didn't know. We also discovered we could use that "secret knowledge" to control others, and gain power and wealth.
Sometimes it's not about what we know, but rather what we believe we know (that others don't). "Holier than thou" is a bluff. Don't buy it.

In response to above posts. Religions throughout history were created to explain the unknown. What is lightning? Zeus is mad. What are tides? Poseidon. And of course what happens when we die? Every religion throughout history explains what happens when we die. Guess what? we die. end of story. no need for mythology, religion. People are afraid of death, they will cling to anything that tells them there is something after death.

It is well known, that as we age, we tend to think a lot more about the here after.
I find myself often wondering, "Now what the hell did I come in here after?"

This post would work in the old age thread as well.

Well kind'a wanna' inject that my personal spiritual journey would not be near as endearing without me being the honorable & respectful Boywife I am

My spiritual needs are interwoven with my personal need to please my lover in certain aspects of my devotion to him & his personal passions--be they sexual in nature or otherwise

Seeking for years & finding my perfect mate encourages me to continue meeting his needs as he continues to help me understand who we are as a partners--with absolute sexual desires-- not always or even accepted by some

I am a Boywife to a loving man whom I love to bathe regularly

He deserves it

yes
