I don't actually recall seeing this thread before, so thought I may as well start it. If it's a rerun, so be it. :)

If you're currently with somebody, do you have "your song"? What is it? Any story to share with it?

If you're not currently with somebody, did you used to have "your song" with your ex? How do you feel about the song now?

I guess I should start.

My boyfriend really wanted our song to be "My Heart Will Go On", but I just couldn't go there. I really don't like Celine Dion at all. :) I don't know if I'd call this "officially" our song, but it may as well be - Tracey Ullman's version of "They Don't Know." As per usual, it happened sort of by accident. It was on a CD we were playing in the car, and we both started singing along. The chorus - "They don't know 'bout us/they've never heard of love" sort of summed up his friend's feelings about us. His friends took a poll picking how long the two of us would last - the longest guess was six months. Nine years later, it's fun to hear this song and think about that. :)

It should have told me something when i'd want to put this song on when we were together. I don't know if it's 'our song' but it will always be his.

Yeah, my boy and I have 'our song'... it's a cute little song called "Space They Cannot Touch" by Kate Miller-Heidke... I've always loved it and I played it to my boy one day and he loved it straight away too. So, without even really looking or choosing, we both agree that was our song :D

Lex, I love tracy Ullman! My bf and I chose this...

:gogirl:

"Perfect Day" by Lou Reed.
New Year's, 2000.........our first kiss....about 1minute 30seconds after midnight.
I miss that time...I miss him....although the memory still glistens. Shiny, shiny times, they was!

Me and my ex had 2 songs kinda:

Stickwitu - Pussycat Dolls

Emotional - Diana Degarmo (sorry i couldnt find the real video so this will have to do)

"Now" by the Carpenters. It was the last song Karen recorded before her untimely death. Dean Pitchford and Tom Snow wrote it.

Now
Now when it rains I don't feel cold
Now that I have your hand to hold
The winds might blow through me
But I don't care
There's no harm in thunder if you are there and
Now
Now when we touch my feelings fly
Now when I'm smiling I know why
You light up my world like the morning sun
You're so deep within me we're almost one

And now
All the fears that I had start to fade
I was always afraid love might forget me
Love might let me down
Then look who I found
And now, now
Now when I wake there's someone home
I'll never face the nights alone
You gave me the courage I need to win
To open my heart and to let you in
And I never really knew how until now
No, I never really knew how until now

I Knew I Loved You - Savage Garden

the song is classic by itself, but from the moment i met my new BF. thats how i felt.

^ Hey saebuffyboy - Re, Jason Mraz - Absolutely Zero. I usually click these on and then quickly off again - but this absolutely knocked me for six. I've heard his name - but it's been yonks since I was totally captivated by someone standing on a chair and singing WHAT THEY MOST FEEL... My thanx. :=D:

Love Cats by the Cure.
No real story - just the first song he and I listened to together.
Our song.

"Just in time" by Nina Simone.
We heard that song in the movie "Before sunset" and became our instant classic.

This used to be our song when we were still in a long distance relationship, and we would be driving around together a lot.

Martina Sorbara - Bonnie and Clyde

It's snowing on the west side
Let me take you for a ride
I'll be Bonnie and you'll be Clyde
See if we can get ourselves killed
Before we die

And we will drive like bandits
On the Queensway
We'll hold hands like in the movies
I'll say 'oh Clyde you drive me crazy
And you'll just capture me like it was
Armed robbery.

We'll pass through Prince Ed County
And I'll steal you something pretty
You'll say 'Man well aren't I lucky
I've gone and found myself a crooked lady'

And we'll drive like bandits
on the Queensway
We'll hold hands like in the movies
I'll say 'oh Clyde you Drive me crazy'
And you'll just capture me like it was
Armed robbery

We'll find the cure for our bad deed
And maybe we will be redeemed

'Cause we drove like bandits
On the Queensway
We held hands like in the movies
I did my best to drive you crazy
You just captured me like it was
Armed robbery
You just captured me like
Armed robbery.

Youtube only has a live version though #-o
