I noticed we all kind of jumped onto cliffdweller for his telling us he has no problem with being 15 minutes or late. I mean - this is the quirks thread. Whether or not we view that as an actual quirk ourselves, most of these could probably be frowned upon or judged by anyone - and that's not the kind of reaction any of us really want when posting such sometimes very personal things about ourselves.
cliffdweller, I can understand where you're coming from. With my own personality, I don't put that much emphasis on very rigid scheduling and I greatly enjoy a more freelance attitude where exact timing doesn't matter. In the times where I have held jobs that require punctuality, I have an amazing record of showing up mostly 10-15 minutes early, but there were times that I did show up late, even though I had no intention of doing so.
However, after starting a small business a few months ago, I have no set schedule (unless I'm meeting with a customer), and whenever I decide to start my work, or take a break, or have lunch - I decide that. It's a much better way for me to plan my day and feel in control of it. I can still operate on someone else's time, but I don't feel I'd be truly happy living that way, so I can understand how the feelance aspects appeal to you and me.
As for me, I sit at a computer almost all day long, mostly working (programming and web development). I listen to music almost all the time that I can, but when I'm not, I'm prone to express whatever emotion I'm feeling at the time whenever it gets really strong. Like if I'm working on a bug and it's frustrating me to no end, I'll all of a sudden growl really loudly.
I also talk to myself and laugh at myself a lot when I'm by myself - especially in the shower.
