What sort of videos do you like to watch on YouTube?

I am into Disney, Las Vegas, Harry Potter, Marvel, the DCU, medical, food and cleaning channels.

I can understand the attraction, especially for apartment dwellers/shut-ins with lots of time on their hands.

I rarely watch what little is posted on this site. I simply don't have time for it. The only tv I own was a gift that is packed away somewhere around here. Never used.

Agreed. I have a life!

:bs:

Get off your high horse, you two.

You joined JUB about the same time as me but you've both found the leisure to put in more than twice as many posts as I have, so don't try and kid us you've got better things to do than watch a YouTube video.

[-X

I stumbled upon Sungha Jung about six years ago and then started following other "fingerstyle" guitarists like Tommy Emmanuel and Josephine Alexandra. I enjoy Gabzito, a handsome Swedish singer-songwriter who combines music with gaming (a pastime I'm definitely too busy for--all that questing and slaying). I enjoy Joe Inoue's madcap take on Japanese culture and life generally (he recently deleted a slew of his most entertaining videos for some reason). Then there's Barnaby Dixon the puppet king, probably my all-time favourite YouTuber. His is the sort of content that YouTube was originally meant to provide an outlet for, creative people who use the medium to its best advantage. Finally, I never miss Mallen Baker (tagline: "dangerously reasonable") on Wednesdays and Fridays. His commentary on news and current affairs is lucid and unbiased, which is why he isn't better known--thanks to YouTube's infamous algorithm you have to be highly opinionated or bigoted to appear in the recommendations.

Oh no!

I just waisted 12 seconds of valuable YouTube watching time finding out that the average YouTube video is 11.7 minutes long.

Go ahead and piss your lives anyway. I don't care any more than you do.

blameitinjorge and Nick Crowley; prefer Youtubers who aren't loud, obnoxious wankers. Can't think of any favorite gay Youtubers since they tend to fit that image. I remember a while back someone created a thread having to do with a video one of those gay YTs made, and my immediate thought after watching the video was "wow, that was dumb."

Just music.

On FB I like animal videos, nature videos and art.

I sometimes watch those videos of people reacting to famous singers voices for supposedly the first time. :help:

I forgot. I do watch a lot of fail videos. It is amazing what people will do. They have to know they are going to get hurt.

Farming channels, amusement park channels and aquarium/fish keeping channels.

French and Italian history and current affairs programs, along with some polyglot material.

Not uncommon for me to watch weather-related vid's on YT .. storms/storm-chasing/etc

Also if I need to fix something & not sure how to take it apart, I'll go check YT & see if there's a vid

Occasionally I'll watch music videos
And also occasionally videos on electrical/lighting stuff

I really feel like starting a hater thread because everyone is so and high and mighty and "I don't have time for such nonsense".

This Youtube channel, CULTURED BODIES . . . ok, you can throw all the shade at it because it does record bodybuilders backstage in their posing suits for the mere pleasure of posing suit lovers, like myself

While very erotic, I think this clip is o.k. because it is on stage and ha, they know what they are wearing is hella skimpy . . . (and yes, I might have jacked off to this clip once or twice ;-)

Go to 0:01, you'll see what I mean

And to the nay sayers, there are many laughing at you. There is a kid whose a millionaire for reviewing toys on Youtube.

I watch a ton of YouTube now that I shut the cable off..I watch cooking shows, a cutie named Jamie who is cooking his way through Julia Childs Cookbooks. A guy who finds cars rusting in fields and gets them running and drives them home..Vice Grip Garage, very fun show. The Pethericks, a man from the UK and his French wife buy a giant chateau and then an abandoned convent and are fixing them up....just to name a few...

Have a link or name for the field finds?

And yeah since I don't have cable I find YouTube to be decent for background noise. If I actually watch I do tend to skip ahead a lot. A lot of cleaning and cooking shows tend to be long clips and mostly I just want to see the end result. Watching people clean a hoarder's house can be amazing, but slow since it can take hours to clean one small room. Even if they speed up the video it still takes a lot of time.
