Youtube's new miserable design

I was on a Youtube video page, then opened another which suddenly had the new design that was previously optional to test.

Did I click something by mistake or did Youtube definitely change to the new design? The comment pages with the popup rating function is so irritating.

Yeah but that is like in its BETA stages and it seems the people have to speak 100% clearly or else it will post up the wrong words. If you have an accent its even worse!

Miserable is the word. A long time devotee of YouTube I find much of the new design indecipherable. Can someone tell me how to Favorite a video now ? Unless it's my computer....

The thing I don't like about the new format is that when you reply, you can only see part of what you're typing!!! It's sooooo annoying!

The "new miserable design" isn't showing up on my comp all the time. It just appears sometimes and then goes back to the old one. I hope they stick with the old layout because there was nothing wrong with it in my opinion - "if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

I'm just disappointed that they got rid of the whole audio comment play-back option. I was having so much fun making up obtruse FBI messages for my answering machine and scaring the bejeezus out of unwanted callers.

I've been trying to figure out what is this "new design" for Youtube that everyone's talking about. I watch YouTube constantly, but I've never seen anything other than what they've always offered. Nor have I ever seen an option for changing that.

Same old same old.

The option to change is somewhere in one of their blog entries or the "lab" that can be accessed by on of the links at the bottom.

At least the comment page should have obviously changed for everyone, it's terribly confusing as the indentations and horizontal dividers are gone.

Has anybody tried the automatic subtitle function? It's hilarious

I adore the new design and, you know what, a month from now no one will be complaining. Whenever a site undergoes changes like this there's always a large group of people who bitch about it, saying how much they hate it and then a few weeks go by and no one complains anymore because everyone's become used to it.

Youtube did it.

So strange, Youtube not only remade the comments page to be more readable, they also added tags like "LOL", "OMG", "WTF" and others.
