Female fighters for equality get very pissed whenever they are reminded, or just told if you prefer it that way, that women are not just one block, but a group of individuals, and that the biggest obstacle for gender equality are most of the women in that group themselves because, just like you probably won't agree with taking any sort of individual and, ignoring the individuals, throw them in any arbitrary group you want to make up, you can't take the mere biological fact of a vagina and just expect to make of it a sensible and rightful foundation of a social building. "Women" are today more a set of cultural assumptions than a biological fact or an individual conscience (which is the case of transgender people, who are not receiving much help from the constructivist theories of sexual identity, and are thus taken between backward dogmas and directionalness theories), so you can't expect to lead women to their own "liberation" when they are being leaded by assumptions and "truths" developed by men according to their own more or less prejudiced understanding of womanhood.

Speaking properly, I think the right term would be "girl"... as she would put it herself.

As for the other matter, aside from the fact that my first thought about B&O is still about eyewear, contanct lenses and such (don't know exactly why,: maybe there was always stuff of them at my optician), that I don't particularly care for phones or audio-video stuff as long as the relating hardware in my computers and notebooks are fine, and taking into account that the pic was taken in July 2008, not only I hardly even look at store windows, at least not directly (well, books and some clothing and shoes may be an exception, but sometimes I also use that as a way of diverting or apparently diverting my interest from the rest of the pedestrians), but I am not sure that store is even there any more. You see, given the condition of the car industry, the car dealer is obviously since long gone from that location, and maybe some other business replaced it before leaving it empty again as it was last Saturday, but business landscape in BCN is right now as crazy as urban landscape in general is in China: some areas see their business close up without being replaced by new ones, some other areas have old stores being redeveloped and updated or being moved to other paarts of the city, either cheaper or on the contrary, more expensive but centrical, and then you find stores or business opening up in BCN that seem to be almost out of place in a second-tier city like BCN..: for example, the Mandarin Oriental, the Tiffany & Co., or the second Apple store in the city, which is supposed to be the biggest one in Europe after the one in London.
Although I should have no doubt about that particular store because I pass in front of that corner or the opposite one almost every day ... sometimes even twice a day.

They were calling the cab I had already called myself, and they had no problem with that: they simply expected me or anyone to step aside and let them get it, just like that... and that's were I got a problem, and not with me "getting slighted", since I have and can get "slighted" far worse than that: the problem is the rationale behind their claim, which in this case was NONE, just an arbitrary value they expected everyone to share. But, even beyond that respect, my problem with the situation was mainly that they expected ME to do THEIR own job at self-asserting themselves and their supposed privileges as a pair of tender twats.
As I said in the OP, I have no problem with just a damn cab: I can give it to any needy one, from a disabled person to a challenged airhead who feels entitled to it (in the latter case, depending on my mood, -since my instincts are as supple as loose, reason why I seem such a meds case to gummibears case people-, I choose either to play the fool's part or to outbully the subject in Q). But I consider, "instinctively" , that you deserve something when you show a character able to EFFECTIVELY deal with a situation, but nobody is entitled to anything for being just a paper character like a duke, an American or French or Spanish or whatever A or B-class citizen, or merely a "girl".
My problem is not so much with this or that sort of "values", not even with poor-spiritied, anomic (mentally anemic) people, but with the conviction that this or that silly arbitrary rule is some natural or God-given law that you must follow like the poor clay robot you supposedly are.

I liked that old diagram of the street showing those diamond-shaped intersections made (I assume) in the days before the automobile.
