Yum Or Yuck

Yuck. (I know, it's good for me, but it just doesn't taste good.)

Lapsang souchong tea?

I don't think I've tried it but I looked it up and I think I'd like it based on its description.

Tamarind?

I was particularly interested to know whether @Araucaria likes Lapsang Souchong. I think it tastes like liquid cigar smoke.

Tamarind? Yum in chutneys, yuck in soups. (I want to like it in soups, but I never have when I've tried it.)

Coriander/cilantro? (It seems people either love it or hate it.)

^To be honest, I'm not familiar with Lapsang Souchong tea, but it sounds interesting. I'll put it on my list of things to try.

I like to eat sweet tamarinds out of hand. Note that I said "sweet" tamarinds, since most of the tamarinds you see are sour tamarinds, which are usually too tart to eat raw. They are used as a flavoring in chutneys, as an ingredient in Lea & Perrins sauce, and as cooking. There is also a drink made from tamarind nectar. I once made a successful chicken dinner by substituting tamarind nectar for orange juice, and the tamarind fruit for peaches in the recipe. I would plant a sweet tamarind tree if I ever decided to grow one.

Coriander/Cilantro is definitely a Yum.
