I haven't seen Zane's full video for Fratmen, but I am stunned at the negative posts I am reading on various other blogs and forums. Most of us here are fans or at least sympathetic supporters of Zane and there are sites and forums I do not visit because the members seem to be all bitchy queens who only delight in bashing others thinking they are being amusing, but come on the response is ridiculous.

I learned a little over a year ago to NEVER read porn-blog comments- at least the ones that aren't member-driven. I remember when Erik Rhodes passed away and one of the bigger porn blogs did a write-up on the story. I was shocked and disturbed by what many commenters were posting hours after his death. That was the first time when I really realized how awful the anonymity of the internet can be and for a brief moment I was so disgusted at humanity. As far as negative comments about my directorial debut here at Fratmen, that was somewhat expected and the whole point of the project was to get people talking about the brand and possibly seeing them in a different light- in that aspect, it was a total success. As a bonus, all of the members of the Fratmen site that I've chatted with on cam totally loved what we produced so when random porn blog-commenters are being nasty over a preview trailer of a scene they haven't even watched, I'm okay with that

On the other hand, I look at porn from a consumer's point-of-view at being very similar to car-buying. For me, I want a vehicle that I have an emotional connection with- the style/production is very important to me, personally. However, there is a huge audience out there that just wants a vehicle that wants to get them from point A to point B- no frills or extra styling cues. The Jace/Jonah duo scene could be compared to a new concept car- it's a far cry from the norm but it's sole purpose is to try new things in a beautiful package and gauge consumer response. For those of you that have followed my work over the years, you know how different this project was than anything I have ever produced and we all had a blast creating it. The end product is something that we are all proud to be a part of. I'll keep you guys updated on my future projects.

Right now I'm working on producing model bio videos and will be documenting Fratmen Jonah next week as he participates in the AIDS LifeCycle benefit bike ride from San Francisco to LA. If you're in or near any of the stopping points along the seven day trip, come out and say hi! He's raised almost $10,000 for this cause!

Zane, Can you please just do a nice sensual video with the fratmen? I would especially like seeing Jonah and Liam doing what you did so well on Austin/Zane. Making out and sucking would be nice, but real kissing, not like the Leo videos where nobody takes it seriously. The closest Fratmen Sucks ever got to this was the Jayden/Vincent duo, until your video with Jonah and Jace. Unfortunately, while it looked cool, the hot stuff was mostly obscured by the fence. I think you are going to really help make Fratmen a better brand, so I have great hopes for some great videos from you.

i would have to agree with all the negative feed back, i subscribe to fratmensucks, which i always think about ending because well, fratmen are not that adventurous, but these new videos with weird chainlink fences and "stalking" remind me of some shitty cody cummings video, if this keeps up my decision to end my subscription will be a lot easier.

Internet forums and chatter are powder kegs. INDIEFILMKID contributed to the chatter and AC904411 fires back to "protect" Zane. Indiefilmkid's comments weren't ad hominem. He was simply giving his assessment of a filmed scene released by FratPAD and Zane. That's what forums are for last I checked. And it is somewhat the pot calling the kettle black for you to criticize Indiefilmkid for "cloaked ambiguity" Mr. Curious AC904411 ???

The internet allows almost everyone to hide. I always try to imagine guys (and gals) in a room where 20 chairs are placed in a circle having a discussion about whatever. If Indiefilmkid had made those comments in that circle -- no one would be castigating him for attacking Zane. But I get it - you love Zane and you feel it is your job to run to his rescue if someone. . .anyone sneezes in his direction. LOL

I once made a negative comment about cancelling my membership to Cockyboys because I was no longer impressed with its content and a girl came online and attacked me by hurling insults for at least 30 minutes. To get her to stop I had to send her a message saying I'm sorry Cockyboys is great. She settled down and eventually her anger subsided.

My advice, keep it real. Before you say anything online, imagine that you are sitting in that circle of people in the real word facing each other with punch, coffee and cookies on a table in the background.

I found nothing wrong with Indiefilmkid's comments (and no I don't know him). I'm just amazed that the world is filled FILLED FILLED FILLED with loose canons on the internet ready to hurl attacks at a moment's notice.

I have no vested interest in indiefilmkid. I don't know him. Let me say that again: I DO NOT KNOW HIM. I have never had a conversation with him. I have never communicated with him at any time in my life.

I live in Montreal, Canada. I don't even know who he is or where indiefilmkid resides. But unfortunately this is the world we live in today. Here is my most favourite quote ever: MY MIND IS MADE UP -- DON'T CONFUSE ME WITH THE FACTS.

You are going to believe what you want. I simply added my two cents on Indiefilmkid's right to his own viewpoint. Nothing more and nothing less.

And Zane Michaels you are absolutely right - no one on here will disagree with you because what you said is true of every single living human being. . . . .I will never be able to please everyone. No one can. Name one human being who has pleased everyone? You can't because that's one thing no human has been able to do on this planet since human existence. Mother Theresa has her detractors. There are even people on this planet who had issues with Princess Diana. Please ac904411 how am I being passive aggressive? Do you actually pay fratmen? are you one of the people who pay the insane fee of 200$ basically every 6 months to be a member of fratmen sucks and fratpad. Please tell me how your commentary on the value of the videos that you pay 34$+ a month for are? I really feel if you do not pay anything then you cannot comment on what I have said.

I am also curious why AIDS lifecycle something that 3k+ participate in is being highlighted so much while yes this is nice he is doing it, but how is it groundbreaking? Why is only one fratmen participating? This is Aidslifecycle 12? why have they never participated before? I am curious as to why this has become one of the main focal points of foramen?

This ride was suggested by a Fratmen member to FratmenJonah and he accepted the challenge. In less than 2 months, he has raised almost $11k toward the cause. I'm not sure that we've promoted it as 'groundbreaking' as you are referring to it however, since you asked, we are going to be live-broadcasting his ride (for free) so people can see what Fratmen Jonah is experiencing. As far as it being a focal point for Fratmen, there are many projects we are currently working on, this one is just the most relevant as the ride starts tomorrow.
