Zeb Atlas fucks Brady Jensen. Hard.

Wow.
OK, see, it’s great to see this finally out and see it being received it so well.
This scene was kind of sprung on me. I thought that Jake was going to direct it so I hadn’t made any preparations for it at all. I showed up to the Cruise Ranch a bit later than usual and settled into working in my office. When I found out I was on the schedule to direct a scene with Zeb Atlas… arguably one of the most important scenes of the year with zero preparation at all, I just about peed in my pants right there.
But both Zeb and Brady rose to the challenge with me. Don’t think it was easy for any of us. We shot this in the gym on the lot at the Cruise Ranch which is a small space. We can’t have air conditioning because of the audio so in the sweltering August sun, the temperatures rose to over 100 while we were shooting with little more than a fan placed far enough away as to not bleed into the audio track.

We did our best to stop and give the guys a rest but on a schedule… it had to get done.
Anthony Duran did second camera but I shot main camera which, in such a small space, made it even harder to do. We were VERY concerned that we’d get plenty of penetration shots. Brady’s bottoming skills are good but Zeb’s dick is huge and with such an important scene I wanted to make sure that there was NO doubt that the action was all real.

We also had some unexpected help; SG4GE model Matt Heritage was there waiting to be taken to the airport, so he hopped in and volunteered as crew for the shoot.

By the way, with the guys on the floor, I was able to get one of my signature “flying camera” shots in, starting with a close up of Zeb’s dick ramming into Brady’s hole in the missionary position, panning up over Zeb’s back, over his shoulder to show both of them and his dick from an “above” angle, panning over Brady’s body and up to a long-shot of them. I love being able to incorporate shots like that in my movies… it’s not always easy to get and it can be even harder to make it look good without interrupting the flow of the scene. So… yay.

I'll admit that the pressure for success on this one was pretty big. I mean, obviously you always want to do a good scene but when it's a star THIS big and it's one of only two gay hardcore scenes he's ever one.... his first in three years... well, you don't wanna fuck it up.

So although I watched the scene two days ago when it was finally finished and knew we had something pretty special, having it receive an almost Universal thumbs-up is a huge weight off.... It's a feeling of relief and euphoria knowing you've got a hit when it was REALLY important to have a hit.

you know, if I fucked up a Bo Dean scene.. well, we'll have another where I can redeem myself soon enough. But something like this is going to be really high profile. I can either pull a "Madonna doing Vogue on the MTV awards" slam-dunk or a "Britney doing Gimme More on the MTV awards" face-plant.

So... I'm breathing easy finally.

I mean... personally, I think condoms are hot... it's like suiting up to me. Apparently I'm a freak but I would rather use them.

this is interesting...I never heard a videomaker or a studio admitting to fucking a scene up even if it's old and nobody cares about it anymore and it's clear that it's bad...I always thought that if a scene is lame is always the studio's fault anyway even if it's reasonable for the models to have a no day for w/e reason...but how u can fuck up a scene despite editing and all that? (I mean I'd like to know if u can say it here..)

I dont' want to point to any particular scenes but I know when I've done a klunker. Often we just won't release it if it's that bad.

Sometimes I just don't pull performances out of the guys. that's my job. Some models will show up just not in the mood or they won't like their partner or they'll have a stomach ache or they just got in a car accident.

But when the cameras go on, it's MY job to pull performances out of people and capture it on video. If that job isn't done, it's my fault.

I just don't find it a turn on seeing guys putting their lives at risk for my sexual pleasure. Just seeing guys barebacking I think any one of them could become HIV+ and possibly die (yes, I know there are better meds to live with HIV but it'd be better to not have to live with it). What's hot about that? And obviously with recent events there's still a major risk involved.

Unfortunately I'm not well at the moment (bad cold) so I'm going to have to hold off on taking out a membership as I'm off to bed shortly so I'll hopefully feel a bit better tomorrow.
