Zune HD confirmed

You can always tell when someone has never used a Zune.

People who have never used a Zune always bashes the OS, thinking it is bad, unreliable etc. The Zune software, IMO (and a lot of other opinions) is better than the regular iPod's.

Not to mention the build quality on a Zune is amazing. It just feels completely solid. And if you drop it, no scratch usually. The software is also solid too.


You are still cracking me up though. Pulling at strings is always fun to watch.

The Zune HD OS will be better than the Touch interface. Now as it stands right now, the Touch interface is better than the regular Zunes. But that is the only iPod interface that is better.

You know, you shouldn't have to download an app to get unlimited access to music. And it really is a matter of time before Apple kills the app because it interferes with their iTunes business.

Zune pass gives you unlimited access to any song in the Zune marketplace for $15.00/month. And every month, you can keep any ten songs you wish forever. I doubt Spotify does that.

And because of the Zune pass, there are all types of cool services you can get, like custom playlists for all types of events (provided by Zune). You can also (regular iPod's can't do this) buy music straight off of Zune Marketplace from your Zune, any Zune.

But beyond that, who isn't to say, Spotify won't be on Zune HD in a month after it's release? Not that Zune needs the app anyway.

OH, and lets not forget about that Xbox intergration.

If someone can code a Last.fm scrobbler that'll work on this new Zune, then I'll definitely put some heavy consideration into getting one... Hell, I desperately need a new MP3 player anyway, so I might pick one up IF the build quality is better than the iPod Touch. I've heard the screens on those things scratch if you breathe on them the wrong way.

The build quality on the regular Zunes are better than other iPods. I have dropped mine on cement and not even a scratch. It's crazy. I am not sure about the Zune HD.

I hope they keep the same quality of build with them. From people who have held them, they say it feels solid, sooo...

AAC isnt friendly outside of iTunes, but they have kinda, sorta, but not really, moved past AAC as the iTunes store goes DRM-free.

I like that you think your smarter than me when I murdered you in this thread. All you could come up with is that Zune is a curse word. In fact, that was your first and only arguement. Laughable. All you've done in this thread is sound like a little five year old. Sad really, you could find nothing to come back at me with.

I guess it surprised you that the regular Zunes came with more features than an iPod has ever had before the Touch.

You do realize the Zune HD is a PMP player and not a phone right? Like the iPod Touch, Zune only has WiFi. Of course, you didn't make that connection.

And what Spotify does sounds like is what you can already do with Zune through social, a service they have alwats had. Not to mention channels, and the custom playlist made by Zune and offered to Zune Pass members. I am wondering if Spotify stole the idea from Microsoft?
