Results are showing: the results of the infection previous to confinement, mainly during the first two weeks, as well as the results of confinement, in the past six days, with ratios of infection increase and of mortality falling from over 15% to just above 5%.
Since when two or three months of disaster can be expected to be solved in less than one.
The focus now should be in the management of the return to "relative" normality, which mainly involves the control of the infection: until vaccines and direct, aggressive treatments are available, the concern will be not goingback to early March conditions.

They don't seem scaled the same -- I tried to edit the top one since it looked stretched in the original -- but I'm posting it to show the relative positions of countries in the progression -- March 24 and April 4 shown. Of course we are dealing with incomplete data that also varies in quality with jurisdictions.

Over in the politics thread, I posted some TDS videos that tell the tale with Fox.

Kara Swisher, the Silicon Valley journalist also did a great editorial about her efforts to deprogram her mother from the Fox propaganda about the "coronavirus hoax". It's worth a read. It also made Hannity get his tits all in a knot.

Fox spent nearly a month being a COVID-19 denier. Then they started pushing "get back to work" narrative. Now, they are in the weird space where they are denying everything they did for the past 2 months while having former cardiologist and current charlatan Dr Oz on their show giving out false information about vitamins and miracle food. It's dangerous and unfortunately, their audience is high risk.

Opinterph provided some links. It is true that the case numbers and deaths are disproportionately affecting minorities in the US. This is another case where the data is coming in so quickly that patterns are apparent but the statisticians and epidemiologists don't have explanations yet.

It may be their pre-existing health problems; it may be that they're seeking treatment late; it may be something as simple as they are more likely to take public transportation or it could be a genetic predisposition... or it could be a combination of factors.
