I was 9 years old in 1966, and I know something that some Star Trek: TOS fans may not know:
Star Trek's Original Series was outshined by the incredible Saturday morning animated offerings from the major networks. And that SatAM popularity includes older teens and adults. The cartoons of 1966 alone stole the limelight from many weekly primetime television shows. The audience of the young, and the young of heart, had such offerings as "Space Ghost", "The Herculoids", "Super 6", "Mighty Heroes", and "The NEW Adventures of Superman", just to name a few.
I was a fan of "Buzz Conroy and Frankenstein Jr.", but there are many who remember "The Impossibles". Kirk, Spock and McCoy didn't stand a chance against Hanna-Barbera!
Can someone explain to me how THIS is even a Thing in 2025, or Any year actually?
