Hugs, hon. (*8*) ..|

Don't close your account - there's always the option of going inactive.

Dammit, woman, you'd better not leave. I'll spank you if you [strike]leave[/strike] stay.

What kind of crap are you slinging?

Take a break,

let the mother****er go fallow...

Even go inactive for a while.

You aren't going to sell us that bilge water about

some little Wolfie being jealous of the JUB are you?

:mad:WELL?

Post a request in the Ask the Moderators Forum to go inactive. Then you can come back when you feel like it.

You are being such a silly,

You could be reading my blogs and making obscene comments

about the stars.

If you drop out or chicken shit (quit) you will never get to star

there..............oh....erm, that isn't why you want to run away is it?

JUB is like Life.

It's hard work. You have to make strategies to catch the attention of the co-jubbers that interest you. You invest time on them and evaluate if it's working.

There are tactics to use. For instance, I put my photo in my avatar because it helps as a conversation-starter.

No one is jealous actually just since I haven't been adding or doing anything important at JUB and I don't feel needed around here either so I think maybe a break might get me back at this place. At 12 am I shall ask a mod to put my account to inactive. I might come back in a week , a month , 6 months I dont know but I'll guess I will come back eventually.

You know I've been here at JUB since 2004 and I didn't feel needed I've closed my account once but I just came back to it because I did make a few friends but some of them disappeared off JUB. The others still have no clue who I am or who I was on my older account.

I think going inactive is good. Depending on how long you will want to be gone from JUB tell the mod you want to be inactive for a year, 6 months, or even 2 months. Deleting your account is kind of pointless cause if you plan on not coming back at all then maybe that would be a good decision.

Hmm, I don't think you should go.

I barely post here anymore and nowhere near as prolific as I once was...

leave the account active, drop in from time to time....

but don't go erasing yourself.

what derek said.

So many people come here expecting to make "dear friends for life" or to become a popular force here. There is nothing wrong with just being a "fringe member" or just one of the crowd. Do not leave or stay based on the amount or type of attention you get, because...face it, there are a LOT of members here, and most of us do not get any. I come here almost every day, but I do not make this place the center of my world, or a substitute for it. There are times I will spend three hours here or more a day. Then...there are times where I will cruise thru the forum posts for about five minutes....then leave for the day. Take JUB for what it is....an ON LINE community, not a "real life one".....and enjoy it for what it is. :) Don't expect it to change your life. ;)

Maybe I am simply a simpleton, but I can't fathom why one would need to delete their account but if their actions were judged very negativly by the community.

It doesn't seem to be the case for you, so why do you want to quit JUB ? I am a Newbie here  and I see so many interesting posts and so many friendly people, it seems it would take me multiple lives to truely appreciate it all.

If you feel rejected or ignored, may I suggest posting within others posts ? Some sub forums have so many topics that some are neglected, not because of the content, but because the new pushes the old, and sometimes very fast :)

Wish you all the best whatever your decision will be

John...you would get more if you didn't keep buying that generic lube.

Brannie...you are here 'cause you love your old uncle lefty.

Shaman...read your Comments boy. I am not a man to be trifled with..

You want to play rifles? I'll give you some bolt action......but I have to

have something to aim at and know your ass can take the shots this ass

gives.so freely.#-o:cool:

Talk more with me would be a nice step. Post sometimes on my threads with respect when there is a serious thread.(not always needed to post if they are not interesting). PMs work too. If I post a picture on the Post your pics thread tell me ugly , cute or whatever since no comments or post for me just feels like neglecting me when I post something that is meant to be critiqued or commented. Not all I post shall have a response or a comment but surely from time to time interacting with people would be more fun when they are direct at your posts...

Now I sound like an attention whore and I don't wanna sound like that dammit. >_<

no, you don't sound like an attention whore at all. attention whores walk around with giant flags and pointy fingers screaming "look at me".
you did not do that. but you posted in a multitude of threads and added your 2 cents, you posted several pics and you posted personal things in the co&r forum. yet you have not gathered a "following" as some of the more popular jubbers have.

but you have been noted.

i noted you from day one because of your username (i love shamans in RPGs). i noted your posts in the "post current pictures .." thread which i read regularly. i noticed your posts about your bf issues in the co&r, i noted a lot of posts in HT, i remember that you wrote about your diet.
i do note a lot of things, yet i comment on very little.

yes - to me - you have been "just" one of "us boys", but even as just "one" of us you have been noted.
but you are looking for more, you are looking for affirmation. you don't want to be just noticed, you want to be acknowledged. this is something very human that everybody has in him. this is a huge community. those that stand out the most are often those that cry out the loudest.
you said you made a few friends. and if that has happened i do believe "JUB" has had its purpose. that is a great gift! if everybody got to experience this it would be awesome. despite all the porn - this is the heart of JUB. just like in life - you don't need to be a celebrity. while the loud and colorful get most of the attention, a community can't survive without the rest. and somewhere next to those popular guys, there might be a shy but troubled guy being clouded by their noise. and he will be thankful for anyone who reaches out to him.

Why do members here think leaving JUB is a required, lifechanging event? Countless times I have seen members say they are leaving because "I need to move on with my life" or "I have a steady boyfriend that I need to be committed to." They make it sound like JUB is too complicated or demanding. "I'm not capable of living my life and occasionally visiting JUB at the same time." Honestly. . . If it's that hard, then

If you believe everyone ignores you and forgets you, how was it that, when you opened your 'Ask Shaman' thread, I recalled a conversation I had with you 18 months ago about tourist sites in Puerto Rico, and your family?

I know it can assume on message boards that if you don't get a reply, no-one has paid any attention to you, but if you look at the views that threads get, you'll see that very often, hundreds have read what you've posted.

JUBbers can pick up a lot of info about a person and 'know' you fairly well - a lot better than you might think, and the responses you've gotten here so far are proof of that.

So I would stick around - and remember, someone always reads your posts. :)

BTW Shaman.

Contrary to some opinions...there are those of us that don't do the

Dear Diary route but do try to be a bit loud and colourful and maybe

bring a glimmer of a smile or a gut ripping guffaw to others as both

a personal and public service.

Cordially,

and Allegedly....

Mr. Loud Brash and Crude

No shit Shaman?

Well, the blog is set

and its too late for me

to change it now.

:(:grrr::(

you didn't mention funny sarcastic son of a bitch.....

guess old #:> age is starting to take its troll.

but coffee out the nose...well, its a start.

Hey man... Please don't go PERMANENTLY, just take a little break. I have been here for 6 years; sometimes I leave for a LONG time..but come back. Just go inactive for awhile. We need to create a strong gay community with many different people.
