I guess this isn't really the place to mention all the flies I've killed when they dared to invade my happy home. Oh well, I mentioned it anyway.
 
Since the dawn of time flies have been nothing but a nuisance. I hold neither pity nor mercy for them.

Today I was walking under a big oak tree and felt something on the back of my neck. I moved my hand to brush whatever it was off and was stung by a horrible thing. This is called a PUss caterpillar.
Now my neck is swelled up and I'm having a hard time swallowing any vodka drinks.

Aww, it was just a small anecdote...
Sure it is far eclipsed in weight and importance by the deaths of the people you mention, but will feeling bad about those deaths bring them back? Awareness and empathy are helpful, but sympathy and guilt like that is an unnecessary drain.
