Yet truth be told, I’m not one to keep up with all of that modern technology when it comes to these online forums, in regards to the private messages, friending, etc., it is much easier for an old man like me (49 years old) to keep track of and keep up with messages/discussions in the forum itself.

Also, I’m not sure how the “friend request” works on this site. Thus is why I never bothered with those options, when they are available in various forums and social media sites, because some of these bells-and-whistle features tend to work slightly different on each website, so I prefer to leave them alone at this time. So with me being an Old Fart , I feel better not having to know how those features work, since I only contribute to the forums themself and it is easier and stress-free for me, since I’m not very computer literate.

Its OK I understand, I've used a lot if smartphone hacking/development forums and those and a lot of forums tend to have the same basic structure regarding basic features. So I guess a friends list on here would most likely function like a contact list as well as just to show people viewing your profile who your friends with. Either way, your awesome lol, besides all types of men are beautiful, not just the very manly ones. I myself am an admirer but I still find men outside of the bear zone attractive, I wouldn't turn down a guy just cause he ain't a bear or cub. I just find bearish men cute and I like them.

CopyX19 - I've been visiting this site off & on for nearly 10 years now and it is NOT a pick-up site. I'm not saying people haven't done it, but for the most part I've found it to be a community of great guys (and some gals) who want to communicate with each other. What I did was register at GAYDAR | Global Gay Dating. Find Guys. Chat. Meet | Join Free and SilverDaddies - dating for mature gay men with a few *respectable* photos (you get back what you put out) and a nice down-to-earth profile message. I got plenty of fun out of it. Some one nighters, sometimes becoming regular (even socialising). Then I met someone special and we both just started seeing each other exclusively and still are now.

I can tell there's a lot on your mind so remember to approach each guy afresh. No baggage, no sob-story. Just be cool. If there are sparks, awesome!

CopyX19 . . . well with you being 19 years old then, I will say that you “may” have a rougher go at it. I’m 48 years old now and I always was a serious relationship minded guy . . . yet unfortunately, most guys (that I was interested in) did not start taking me seriously until I was I was about 30. When I was in my teens to about my mid 30's, 99% of the time, I was mainly interested in hairy men that were at least 15 to 20 years older than myself . . . however those guys usually thought I was too young to date and often felt that since I was so young, “they all pretty much felt” that I wanted or needed to sow my oats and play the field and have a new guy in my bed every night, which was not the case at all . . . since I was born a nester. I did not date a lot in my younger years, since I could not easily find the type of man I was looking for. Oh sure I had an abundance of gay men around my own age that were always available for (friendship, sex, relationships), but until I was in my mid to late 30's, I never was all that sexually attracted to guys my own age . . . I think it took my peers aging over the years, to finally catch up to the looks that I found sexually attracted in men (since I was a teen), in order for me to “finally” start looking at and liking guys around my age. LOL!!! Yet I think since you have the option of niche websites today, you might can easily find the type of guy that you are looking for, who will take you seriously, and be okay with the age difference. In my case, I did not have an option like that while being a young adult in Los Angeles, since the internet had not been invented yet per se, and I never heard of any groups of younger and older men anywhere back in the late 70's - late 90's.

When I first started out as a young gay adult man at the age of 18 years old, I had no idea about how my tastes, types, and ages of men (that I’m attracted to at any given time as I aged) would change. For the longest, I always thought that I would prefer men older than me and the thought of having sex with a guy even one second “younger” than myself just repulsed me to no end. LOL!!! Yet most guys over 50 repulsed me as well (when I was between 18 and 29 years old). Then when I turned 30, I had an amazing opportunity to have sex with a 29 year old Irish man when I was in Ireland, and the sex was GREAT!!! and the guy was HOT!!! I think the fact that be both were attracted to each other and we had a good sexual chemistry, that made the age thing go away. So it was about that time, when I started “slowly” (over time) not getting repulsed by the thought of having sex with guys younger than me. Yet lately, most of the time, I find myself mainly attracted to men that are 10 to 15 years older and younger than myself. It will be interesting to see how I feel when I’m older, because right now, it is rare for me to find men that are over 60 years old (who I find attractive ) attractive, yet it could just be the "mental" age thing of the guy being that old (on paper) vs. what he looks like. Yet I can NOW find some guys in their mid to late 20's attractive.
