. Some people need to learn to use the ignore feature. That was remarkably profound, Sam.Well, i guess if there's a place for everyone and all thoughts, then there's a place for people to be pissed about those thoughts. Right?

I agree 100%I have been a member here for a lot of years and although I don't post all that much any more, I feel it necessary to say something that has been on my mind for a while now. JUB is made up of men and women from most continents, every race and ethnicity, the whole socio-economic soup that makes up the gay community. And I think that some of us here tend to forget that. We have forums on JUB so everyone can have their say about anything in a safe, comfortable environment.
If you have read my postings, you know that I can be just as rude and thoughtless as anyone else in responding to someone with a different opinion. But what concerns me is that lately some of us seem to feel that others have no place here, or can be attacked because of their take on things. That to me is simply not right. Every single person who takes the time to post in a forum has every right to express his or her opinion on anything. Anything. Sometimes it's brilliant; sometimes not. That you or I might find it distasteful or annoying or just downright stupid is to be expected when a large chunk of the world is spouting off. But I look at it this way; the gay community is considerably more diverse than many of us are comfortable with. But we don't need to flog ourselves when we differ; there are lots of people outside our community who are only to happy to do that. So bottom line is... try to lighten up a bit. I promise I will. End of rant...![]()
Uh-huh.

Healthy disagreement is good. Personal attacks are out of line.
Yes. Why do you? You didn't always...
If you check out some of the longer threads... you'll notice that one person says something someone else disagrees with
