Abba: Love Them? Hate Them?

The way their voices harmonized was impressive. It created a unique sound. They were good. Not a fan exactly but I do like some songs.

The Winner Takes It All is a heart-wrenching song. Great tune!

I don't love them...but I don't hate them. I'm just not too crazy about their music, but some of their songs aren't bad.

I like them.

I actually didn't even know who they were until I heard of the A-Teens. ABBA was before my time so I was introduced to their music by the A-Teens.

They were a pop group who just diva ABBA covers for the most part.

Well, they were also WAY before my time and I still knew them. That ain't excuse. [-X

;)

I just got abba on singstar for my ps3 and have truly found heaven on earth.

I like them. My favorite songs are 'Voulez Vous,' 'Lay All Your Love On Me,' 'The Visitors,' 'Take a Chance on Me,' 'Gimme Gimme Gimme,' and 'Waterloo.'

There's nothing deep about them, but they've got some good songs.

WOW somebody else knows "The Visitors"! The first time I went to a gay bar, in spring 1982, that was "the" remix song (Austin, TX: The Boathouse).

RadioIan -- sorry have to disagree re: Dancing Queen. I think it's the perfect of the perfect.

I'm bumping this thread because this past weekend, when I was on a long drive, I listed to the entire ABBA GREATEST HITS cd, and my thought towards the end was, "Hmmm, I'm not sure whether they should be enshrined and worshiped, or prosecuted for crimes against humanity." And that seems to be the general tone of the this thread, the two sides of that coin.... ;)

Probably my favorite ABBA song. If I ever have a daughter, this will DEFINITELY be the song I dance with her to at her wedding.

I love them. World class entertainment. They're sort of like, musical tofu. They always have something that will blend with whatever mood you happen to be feeling. My favorites are the fun, happy songs like "Honey, Honey," and "Dancing Queen."
